I know what you mean, I was looking at pictures online for 2 days before I decided to go for it. The colour does seem to change a lot under different lights but to be honest I didnt see a picture I didnt like :)

:) Yep keep staring at photos on Google, as you say does seem to change depending on light.

Does anyone know at what point in the ordering process am I unable to change my colour choice?

Once it's 'Locked in' Some dealers wont let you change at all, but if you ask nice enough they should, I think it locks in about 2 months into it... But that's a bit of a black spot, even for me!

Arrr, can't decide RR or LB and now time pressure!

Manders, you have RR, what do you think? Try not to be biased!

As a neutral, Race Red looks amazing in the flesh however I think Lightning is going to be epic too. Having a balanced attitude to risk (bottle job) I'd probably go with my first choice however, having never seen the blue.
Of course Magnetic is worth an extra 5mph... ;)

Fuck, I can't not be Bias. If I was ordering a second Mustang, Would I get it in Race Red? No. Simply because I don't do 'the same colour' twice on a car (yaris was silver, COrsa was white, Mustang was Red). If I was ordering a new mustang having not had this one, I'd probably go with LB.

However, that being said, original plans of mine were to wrap the car Satin 'Frozen Blue'. Which is kind of like the LB colour. And I'm actually glad I went with Race Red because the colour is incredible. No matter what, it sticks out among the 'duller' colours such as Silvers, Greys, Blacks and white cars that we have around on the roads today (that's no mustangs... that's general cars).

So in short? Which would I recommend for you? Lighning Blue as it's newer, there will be less like it, however it comes with the risk you 'may' not like it. And haven't been able to see in the flesh. So it's weighing up the 'Risk' of not liking it, vs the ability to have seen the car and 'Know' what it's like.

I'd fortunately been able to see all the colours in the flesh in the states before ordering and Red was always my fall back.

(For those who care: Wrapped, Red, DIB, Black, White were the top 5 on my list)

@Twin Turbo and Big_G (I think in grahams case) have both seen LB in the flesh - Might be able to help.

Thanks Manders, useful info.
Does anyone know where I could maybe see one in the flesh? Might pop into a few of the US dealers when I'm over there shortly in the hope they may have a few LBs.

Is lightning blue a standard Ford colour? In which case a dealer might well have another cat in LB in the showroom.

Re locked in orders, I changed my spec 3 1/2 months after the initial order. Have a suspicion that it can't be changed after a production date is set. Ordered beginning of May, changed the colour on the 15th August, and I think I have an October date. But can't confirm as the Ford ladies have been out of office.

I've not seen GB in real life... But what the hell, it's a loud car, needs a loud colour!

Nope, Mustang specific IIRC. Might be on the Edge, not too sure though..
marks any US dealer, there's loads, will have lots of Mustang stock. Can check them in that.

Ford need them damn things McLaren, Porsch, lambo have to show off colours "Speed shapes" or whatever they're called.

Thanks. I liked the DIB in the photos but when I saw it in real life i noted a purple tint which i wasn't keen on. Can i assume there is not any purple tint with the LB?
