Testing every ethanol pump within driving distance of my house last night revealed three things to me:
1: Reading the test tube instructions actually IS important.
2: Kroger is apparently very consistent.
3: If it has a sticker on the pump that says at least 70% ethanol, just go somewhere else.

My first tank was 70% because I filled up before I got my test tube. I ran that tank dry and filled it up with 85% from Kroger.

I found that not inverting the test tube before letting it settle shows wildly inaccurate results like this:

When actually it was this (after trying it again after inverting it):

But Kroger, on the other hand, two locations, twenty miles apart:

I did the first time. Then I just used an "alternate method" that was more direct.

You can do it either way, there's supposed to be a way in hptuners to run the fuel pump without the ignition being on, and BAMA tunes has a tank drain tune also I heard. Mine was literally out of gas, so it worked out great. I didn't want to have to drain and dispose of a bunch of fuel and planned it pretty well apparently. Might swap filters just in case anyway, I'm guessing it's on the body somewhere fairly easy to get at.

Most places should have the 70% stickers for when they run the winter blend.

Nice. Wish i had that tune

Eric can hopefully confirm, but here's what (I think) I've confirmed:

Fuel System -> General -> Minimum Time On: 32s (max duration, stock is 8s)
Fuel System -> General -> Off Duty Cycle: .5 (stock is .7500).

I've not tested this, but will next week as I'm swapping injectors and fuel then.

I just ran my tank down as far as I could get it, filled up with E85, swapped tunes, and waited to go WOT until I burned the tank and refilled.

i dont really want to run 100% e85 and kill my fuel sensor and lines very quickly like what happened in my 135i....any chance on a 30% e85 and 93 mix tune from lund?
I've never heard of that before on a modern car. Evo, Subaru, Camaro, Mustang.

Lund said no. There's no way to consistently and accurately know the octane and mixture going pump to pump. I'll give him this, he doesn't like half step stuff. He only wants to tune proper setups, which makes perfect sense.

I got a tank drain tune from Lund and an 8' section of 3/8" hose and a 2005+ mustang fuel filter for next time to make the fuel swapping easy. I also ordered a quick connection for the stock fuel rail point with an 1/8NPT fitting for a fuel pressure gauge I'm going to datalog with.

Assuming someone doesn't buy my kit on the forums of course, lol. I can't stop throwing money at this thing.

it has an engine!
Jpc has a quick fuel drain kit. Not sure if the one he pieced together is cheaper then JPC.
