Okay I'm wanting to go on Friday to order a car or see if they can find one for me. I'm looking at getting oxford white GT performance pack. The thing I cannot decide on. Is to go with the base model or the premium model. This will be my daily driver I know I need to get winter tires for the winter either way.So the thing is the difference in cost is literally $50-$60 a difference a month. So is resale value worth getting the better more expensive car in the end when If I'm looking to sell in future. The only thing I really see that I like in the premium is the better radio and dash and leather does smell good if taking care of the right way. I don't like the leather one has the cracks in it. Cloth interior is easier to maintain sometimes. Does anyone know the weight difference between the base model and the premium? Not that I'm looking to strictly race this car but just nice to know. Any help with the decision to go either way would be helpful thanks. Either way I can't wait to get my car!

I was in the same situation. I sat in the base and then sat in the premium. I instantly knew that the premium was want I wanted.

And yes Friday my dealership that I'm going to has a base cloth interior and the leather interior for me to sit in the test drive. So is thepremium interior just that much nicer all around?

If I were to get a car that was more than 600 miles away what would the cost be for destination charge?

For me it was a no-brainer because I knew I wanted ACC and BLIS. However, the interior of the car is transformed with the Premium package. I spend a lot of time sitting in my car...probably more time in my car than in my home (excluding time spent sleeping). So I wanted it to be a nice place to sit, with a nice radio, nice sound insulation and a nice finish. As it's my midlife crisis car, I also plan on this being my favorite vehicle I ever buy xD

My dealer told me 8 to 12 weeks. I have the vin and there have been no updates on cotus. It is a wait but I got everything that I wanted and nothing that I didn't. I didn't want the reverse assist or other things like that so ordering was the only option for me with the premium.

If you look at 2011, 12, 13 etc. Used as a reference for resale numbers, what I'm finding is not very much of a price difference between base and premium. What does get more retail resale $ though is low mileage and mint condition no matter which trim. Heavily modded cars get the same trade in offers from dealers as a clean stock one too.

My .02 is if you are going to use it as a daily driver spring for the premium. The interior is where you will be spending most of your time why not enjoy it. The cracking does suck on the leather but if you are consistent about treating it and keep the temps down when the car is parked outside it should minimize the effect.

I just got a new heater for my garage. It runs on 220v my brothers and dad have this to and it keeps there garage warm if not hot. This should help in the winter at home but not at work. Park outside there

I say premium as long as the finances are not a problem. Should you want to upgrade the base radio it'll be a pain. Plus, the leather is nice, so why not?

The real question is not if the premium package is nice, clearly its nice, the question is is it worth the $6000 variance from the base I ordered and the GT premium I would end up getting. And thats for something that has absolutely no performance extra from the base I am getting, and infact would be slower because of all the added weight. For me the answer was hell no and I bought the base GT with auto and 3.55 gears and my car will be one of the fastest simply from weight savings alone. And I already have had custom leather made for my car prior to it even coming that is much much more superior to any Ford leather which is half vinyl. Mine is 100% leather including sides and back. The only other thing I want other than leather is a stereo. Easily done. 2 sets of speakers and an 8 inch sub. Total cost for everything? About 3000 less than a premium and higher quality everything and faster. I think a 31K 400 hp V8 car is the performance American dream steal of the decade. I think a 40K mustang is ridiculous at my core level and troubles me at anywhere approaching that price. At that price I would look at otjer things seriously. The very fact that the former and the latter have the exact same performance would trouble me even more for paying that kind of premium for what I consider at best secondary unimportant things.
