Back in my college days, I ran my 87 LX in F-Stock. Years later I ran my 98 GT in ESP due to welded in sub-frame connectors. I plan to hit some cones with my HP Mach 1 this spring, but I'm confused as to which class it would be in. The rules say all 21-23 Mach 1s are F-Street, but then F-Street have to use a 200TW or higher tire. I still have the stock Cup 2 tires (180TW) on the HP wheels, so does that mean I have to run CAM-C? The only real mod I have are Steeda jacking rails and an FP oil separator. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. My Autocross life coach says the tires will bump the class. The SCCA rules don't differentiate normal Mach 1 from HP Mach 1. I used that logic to justify AAD/Steeda suspension, better camber plates, dedicated wheels, etc. If I'm in CAMC I might as well bring the proper tools!

I also thought about running my PS4S tries to stay in class, but my buddies are all CAMC anyway. I'll save those for road trips.

I believe you can run your stock Cup2 tires for local events because they’re the OEM tire, but for any big national events you will be in CAMC unless you change to an approved 200TW tire. I’m 80% certain thats right.

jacking rails also wont be legal for FS in national events, but I’d be shocked if anyone at your local events gives you any trouble about them.

so yeah if you’re just starting out at locals, I’d try to run FS if all you have are those two mods.

Agree with nightmare. The wording says stock or factory tires are allowed, which is where yours fit. The 1LE cars have the same issue actually.

Run FS. Someone gets butt hurt, move to camc. And destroy them every event thereafter.
