Alright guys, I’m coming to the community and to the experts for some mods to finish the car for the foreseeable future. As my car sits right now, it’s a FBO a10 car on e85. All the BMR bells and whistles for rear end components paired with Viking crusaders, one piece carbon fiber DS. I’m staying NA but I want the most out of the car, so the next and “final” performance mods are going to be a converter and rear end gears. I’m torn between 3.73 and 4.11 gears, I see a lot of people run 3.73 with the 10 speed on NA setups. Once I decide on my rear end ratio I will then get a converter off that
what do you guys say?

The ratio change is far less effective on the A10 vs the manual due to the gearing.

But is it though? This isn’t a daily car btw. Gonna have little to zero highway driving and a high stall converter
As it sits, in what gear and RPM do you cross the traps in the 1/4 mile? What size rear tires do you run?

I think you would be fine going to a 3.73 if you are for sure staying bolt on. We sell a great converter for NA 10r80s as well. Hit me up if you have any questions about the setup. Lethalperformance.com

Depends on which transmission gear and what RPM you'er launching from...
NMRAdigtal interviewed 3 time champion, Marvin Knack at the end of last season. He gives some good insight on gearing and tire size!!

I installed 3.73s a couple months ago on my 2019 GT PP1 A10, and I am so mad at myself for not going with the 4.11s. 3.73s weren’t enough. Go 4.11 all day.

Getting the heads ported is way beyond the FBO he is going for.

W ended up going in the middle, I went 3.91. Kinda wish I just went 4.11 but still very happy with the results. Part of the reason I went 3.90 is I’m not sure of a lot of people using that rear gear ratio and I wanted to try

From what I remember reading that's about what Marvin Knach runs. I think it said he has a 3:89 gear in a 9" Ford housing.
PS: As far as I know he still uses a modified 6 speed automatic transmission.
