So I'm in the process of swapping my stock shocks, struts and springs for the PP ones and I'm stuck.

I noticed it was a pain in the ass to get the front sway bar end link out of the shock when I took the stock one off. I ended up having to completely remove the shock before taking the end link out.

Now I'm ready to put the PP shock back in place and it's impossible to put the end link in AND put it through the holes in the strut tower. What am I doing wrong?? In the videos I've watched it lines up perfectly but mine is off by like an inch.

I have Ford Racing sway bars so I'm thinking that has something to do with it. But if that's it then how the hell did my installer get the sways installed to begin with?

Do you have both front wheels off the ground? If not you are preloading one side.

I don't have both sides off the ground and that makes sense lol. I'll give it a shot tomorrow

This.

Gotta have both wheels off the ground, on jack stands preferably. Then if need be you can use a jack under the lower control arm to fine tune position.

Shouldn't be a problem since I have two jacks and a set of jackstands.

Do both sides need to be raised in order to do the rear as well? I'm planning to just lower the subframe on each side to get the spring out

Yes. Have the rear on jack stands. Chock the front wheels if you only have two jack stands. Do the springs, assuming you are replacing them, and get everything buttoned up ... then do the sways.

Other side of front went easy with the car jacked up on both sides, other than that dumb AutoZone spring compressor. Took it for a test drive and the handling is definitely improved over the non pp parts. Now the rear

Let us know how the ride is once you have all 4 installed. I'm currently looking at the BMR minimum drop springs...

I finished the rear last night, it was wayy easier than the front. Less bolts and no compressor needed. The ride and handling is a night and day difference, not even close to the same. I'm convinced that a large portion of the people driving non PP cars who go aftermarket would have been happy with the PP suspension. It no longer bobs all over the place when I go over bumps in the road and it stays much flatter in turns. I did already have FRPP sways and strut tower brace though.

For $130 it was probably the best investment I've made so far on this car. It makes the ride much more solid. I'm sure the aftermarket is an even bigger difference but I think I'm satisfied now

Lexman the ride will even be a little better with the min drop springs.
