Hey guys and girls,

Have been a lurker on here for quite some time, but since I will be soon placing an order for a GT350, I require your valued opinions!

You can see by the poll options above the main color configurations that I am considering. I have literally looked through the Oxford White and Avalanche Grey picture threads a dozen times or more, continually hopping back and forth as to which base color/combo I would like to go with.

I really don't think there is any "wrong" color choice on these cars, as they all look fantastic. However, I fully intend to keep this vehicle for life, and thus, am obsessing over choosing the right color.

Initial thoughts on the various configurations I am considering:

- Avalanche Grey w/White OTT: Looks stunning under low-light conditions, particularly in the evening shots or days where it appears to be overcast. What worries me are some of the pictures that user Bossing posted that show the AG next to OW in the evening but under sunlight, which makes the paint color looking exceedingly dark, almost "battleship" grey. Does the color truly change this drastically under different lighting conditions? I am in love with it in certain pictures, but others I am not so fussy.

- Oxford White w/Lightning Blue OTT: Loved the original look of the white and blue combination; however I feel that the older models with the deep impact blue stripes look better. Have not seen enough pictures of the new blue stripes to say for certain, but it seems like they are much lighter under sunlight, and do not come across as aggressive looking.

- Oxford White w/Matte Charcoal (red pin): Saw in the "what did you do to your GT350 today" a picture of a red GT350 with matt charcoal stripes. One user here was kind enough to post my photoshop request which illustrated a white GT350 with the matte charcoal stripes and red pinstripe accents. Strongly considering this option as I think it looks pretty good and will certainly stand out as being unique and one of a kind, especially in my small province where there will be less than 20 GT350's ever sold. Only worry here is having to order an aftermarket striping kit and having it installed locally.

Lot of my thoughts spilled out here, but I flop back and forth to each different combination every time I open the darn pictures app on my phone lol :headbonk::headbonk::headbonk:

Fell in love with the AG w/white OTT when I saw it on this site, but am a little nervous I may have second thoughts or regrets. White would be the "safe" base car color choice, but I am not particularly fond of the new lighter blue stripes, and fear that the aftermarket matte charcoal stripes may stand out a little too much in regards to not looking "OEM" enough.

Please help me :D:D

Its hard to beat the oxford white with blue OTT. It is the GT350 classic color pattern.

I agonized over my second order on color selection and it came down to me and the wife going over all the color options and we went with what was the best for us. I suggest you do the same.

The rumor is that '17 may be the last gt350 model year and the '17 MY has 2 new colors that would be unique to the entire run. You might want to consider them if you are looking for something less common.

How about AG...its a nice color that accepts an array of accent colors.
White with blue stripes is going to be very common, ultimately you have to follow your heart as thats all that truly matters. Not everyone does and eventually that plays a small roll in why they get rid of them in time. Make it a lifer and get what YOU want. I personally like the LB stripe more as its brighter and i like flashy.
Just thought about this. How about AG with black stripes and pull off the white accents and install red yourself? I recommend stripe man pins, somewhere around 50 bucks a roll that will do your car 3 times ;)

Definitely agree with the classic white and blue combination; will have to see more pictures of the new colour blue stripes before I can say that I would like them enough though.

The fiancée and I have discussed this to extreme lengths lol at the end of the day she prefers white, but wants me to get the colour that will make me the most happy as she is not hugely into cars and car culture as I am.

Considered grabber blue, but am afraid it may be love at first but die off over time and that I may become tired of how bright and "shouty" of a colour it is.

I'm also fairly determined to get a car with stripes as I believe all GT350's should have, and the grabber blues stripe options don't do much for me.

AG and yes I am biased.
That's ok I won't hold it against you :D

As a personal owner, have you experienced the drastic changes in colour hue that I have described above? Sometimes photos do not capture the true hue of a colour, so if you could provide any input on this in regards to your experiences with the colour or how satisfied you are with it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Even if you could tell me how you yourself have viewed the colour under different lighting conditions and what about it you like or dislike!?

For sure man, it's why I'm obsessing over it haha

Saw an AG in person but only under showroom lighting, but it had the black stripes. Didn't like the black stripes as much in person as I thought I would. Feel as though AG needs the lighter stripes to show off the coolness of the grey in it.

These decisions keep me up at night haha

I went with AG. Seems like Oxford White is already very popular and done a lot.

Like I asked the last guy, can you provide any input as to how the colour changes under different lighting and if you like or dislike anything about it when it looks so different??

I too love the classic look, which is why I went that route. I actually think the Lightning Blue stripes are closer to the original Guardsman Blue, but as Oxford White and Wimbledon White are so different maybe it's moot.

That would be hugely appreciated! It's currently my first choice but as I mentioned above, a few minor fears are holding me back from being certain about ordering it that way.

Definitely agree, the new LB stripes certainly play a closer homage to the old GT350's, I am just not so sure it looks as good with the lighter stripes.

If you could also post pictures of yours when you get it that would be appreciated too :D

I also obsessed between OW and AG, flipped back and forth. Stripes were never an option for me. As it turned out, white, no stripes ended up looking so nice, IMO.

Those two new colors run the entire Mustang line, and the AVGry is just the Shelby which makes it unique also.

Yeah I've seen Canepas, and your recent pics as well! On the R models I definitely think all white is a great option, I just don't think I would do the solid colour without having the R wing and wheels to easily differentiate it from a regular S550.

AG with white...all day long....[/QUOTE

Gorgeous! These kinda pics are what made me fall in love with AG to begin with :D

How are you finding the colour under different lighting though? Are you ever unhappy with how it looks, particularly under bright sunlight or in the evening under direct sunlight? Does it become as dark in person as pictures would make it appear?
