Hey guys,

I recently picked up a ‘19 GT A10 PP1. I’m still a ways out, but I’d like to start putting together a FI setup. Specifically, I’d like to start planning the setup out so I can start doing research I haven’t been down this road before.

I am hoping to build more or less a reliable weekly driver. Maybe some occasional non-competitive track trips down the road, but more of a toy than anything. The goal in my mind is a 650hp-750hp car, with inevitable room to grow over time.

Power adder: im not married to any system, but I’m looking at going with a hellion turbo, mainly because it is generally easier on an engine than a supercharger (please correct me if I’m wrong). Turbo lag is not an issue for me, especially as most of my driving will be cruising around.

Fuel: Unfortunately I do not have E85 or 93 octane locally. I don’t believe I have 93 anywhere close to me, but E85 is 40~ min away. I see two options, keeping a larger tank with E85 at home (sketchy), or running 91 with a water/meth kit. I also anticipate a fuel system rather than a booster, but I thought I’d gather the community consensus. Injectors I feel should be at the discretion of the tuner? Advice would be very helpful.

Suspension: with track not really being much of a thing for me as of now, would the PP1 suspension suffice? I assume a stop the hop kit would be a decent insurance.

Supporting Gear: Boundary or MMR Oil pump gears, boost controller, and MSD 2 step.

Would everything above leave me with a well-supported system? Is there any additional equipment I should consider?

Thank you guys for your time, I look forward to learning.

If you end up going hellion at those power levels I'd skip the opgs. Also meth is fine but I'd look into boostane too if your limited to 91.

Is the 2 step really necessary? Based on how you said you plan to use it I'd say probably not.

I've DD'd my helion pp1 car for 2.5 years and almost 50k miles now. Only thing that's been replaced is the shocks (bilstein) and I added the irs subframe braces. Most days it runs on the pp1 wheels but I do put 305/45s on the back sometimes for playing extra hard. Most will tell you that you need way more but for a fun street car you absolutely do not.

Car gets beat on everyday. I almost never pass up a good dig from a stop light or a freeway run so long as it's a worthy car. 95k miles on the car now and still loving the abuse.

Did you opt out of ogp/cs? I keep telling myself if I go turbo I'll do them later but if I go belt driven I'll do them before.

Sounds like our needs/use are very similar. That sounds pretty much what I am hoping to do. Did you go with a booster or a fuel system? What booster/system are you using?

Ive read a bit about boostane, I’ll look into it a bit more. I’m not as familiar with it. I’d be curious about the cost effectiveness and the practical daily application of that vs meth/water.

The 2 step may not be necessary. It came under recommendation from someone who I spoke to about making a well-supported and reliable FI setup. I am 100% for a well supported setup, but I also and not a fan of spending money on things I really don’t need. Like you, I will be regularly be doing multiple gears worth of pulls, and I sometimes need to get to Walmart in a hurry.

I'm using a BAP right now. Might switch to a fuel system next year and go e85. For now I'm maxed out on pump gas.

As for the BAP, I started out with a jms because I liked the idea of it only boosting voltage when I needed it too but had a few issues with it so I switched to a vms bap. No issues with it yet and it hasn't killed my fuel pump. Jms did warranty and make everything right each time but I got tired of limping my car home and having to mess with it.

power adders are our speciality

the hellion kit is really nice, the sleeper kit is less $ and flows better / less back pressure. We did one on our 2017 shop car.

Really nice kit.

You can do alot of blower options, best bang for the buck is our paxton kit, hands down, but we also do whipple, procharger, vmp, roush , etc..

Your always welcome to call or dm me with any questions 8am to 10pm seven days a week
