My EB needs a struts replacement on which, the local dealership offered me the FR3Z-1812-H which is non performance as per the sources online.

Spent hours searching the internet to identify the correct struts for my Mustang Ecoboost 2015 Premium Performance package with no luck due to the weird labeling. some parts fits the non performance models, some for convertible .. etc).

The current one installed has a part number: FR3C 18W002 but all over the internet the parts are starting with FR3Z-18 followed by 12 or 124 or 125, keeping into consideration the 19" wheels

I would really appreciate if someone can explain this and help me knowing the front and rear struts part number.

VIN#: 1fa6p8th0f5336450

Check one of the online Ford parts like levittown with your vin.

Consider getting shocks too. Very easy to change at home. Remember loctite blue.

Koni Active struts and springs would be a good choice for Ecoboost. Any of the Koni would be fine.

Most aftermarket are valved for GT that's 220lb heavier on front end and it makes a difference.

I've done that but what I noticed was either the sites displays different part numbers or the site doesn't support search by VIN which lists the EB non-performance, GT, convertible parts.

The stock ones were good for my daily driving and fun

I've seen part numbers change over time for same part.

Call a couple of different dealers and see what they show.

For your use you'd be fine with Koni STR or even cheaper KYB.

Thank you @S550HPP I'll do.

Meanwhile if anyone can relate to this please do.

you don't want any of the factory-stock parts anyway. Bilstein B6 or Ford Performance 'Track' dampers.

Know that B6 are not valved correctly for EBB 200lb+ lighter (11.5%) front end so you will have a harsh low speed ride unless you have glass roads.

I have no clue why Bilstein, or any other mfg, even sell same struts as as a replacement for both EBB and GT....sure they fit, but valving is way off.

E.g Ecoboost convertible has near perfect weight distribution 220 lb weight reduction is equal to a whopping 11.5% difference. Valving must compensate or there's a ride quality penalty, especially on a sport strut like B6.

After disappointing B6, I would go for Ford Track, Koni, or KYB.

Sorry but we wouldn't have that information. The Ford dealer you are planning on purchasing this from should be able to look that up for you.
The car is imported from US and the local dealer quoted me for FR3Z-1812-H which seems non performance

Any specific reason to change from stock?
I feel the ride is quality is good enough, not sure if there's huge difference between performance and non-performance

you need a better suspension butt. The OEM are crap. You owe it to yourself to try the Ford Performance TRACK set at minimum. The good dampers will cost the same as the garbage, so might as well get the significantly better product. Unless all you do is saunter down the BLVD, in which a wood stick is good enough.

Do you think going with M-18001-AS on the stock performance package will give me any issues?

Of course not. Dozens and dozens use the fp dampers
