Weather nice, took the car for a spin, stopped at a gas station, got back in and go to start it and the push-button isn't starting it. Some guy helped me push start it and it fired right up. Connected to forscan and zero errors. This is my only car

What model, year, and how many miles?

I presume manual transmission... any aftermarket mods or tunes?

15 gt vert 6 speed. Got it home and figured it out. It's missing something from the clutch pedal to the plunger, it doesn't even touch the plunger. I taped it shut and it started up. I guess I have to hunt down that part or make a spacer somehow

Sometimes this is caused by the clutch switch, not the ignition or starter. I believe Forscan can show if the PCM is receiving a signal from the clutch switch (something like "engaged" or "depressed"

Get under the dash and see if the rubber tab that contacts the plunger on the clutch pedal lever on the switch has fallen out

Just put a nut and bolt through the hole. You can even use 2 nuts, one on either side and a longer bolt, then you can adjust it. bolt head facing the clutch switch

This MAY have something to do with me testing the no lift shift feature on my tune lol. Found some broken yellow plastic thing on the floorboard

And this actually solves two problems. I have another thread about no lift shift acting funky and cutting out. Bet this is why

Yeah looking for something in the garage now. It's a crime to not cruise a vert on a day like today (72 out)

Low profile jam nuts would be better
