I've been working with Edelbrock to correct some IAT reading issues on their stage 1 complete kit with tune for cold weather. They sent me a brass sensor to replace the OEM-style plastic sensor that came with the kit originally. The stupid plastic one screwed out about 80% of the way and now it's hung on the last few threads. I guess maybe the thread locker built up as it backed out? I turned through the plastic hex piece built into the body, and I'm starting to get nervous about using vice grips to turn it the last few turns. Obviously the whole blower has to come off if it snaps off in the runner.
Edelbrock Tech suggested using WD40 (which I have dosed it with and left it sitting while I'm at work) but it's not really supposed to do anything against thread locker. Any other suggestions? Can't really put a torch on it because the sensor is plastic...
