Iat sensor breakout wiring

I’m wanting to put in a auxiliary IAT sensor...anyone know if I need to splice into the signal return wire or simply cut it and redirect it to the new sensor ? Obviously the signal wire simply gets directed but I’m not sure if he signal return wire coming from the maf is for both the maf and the iat or just the iat.

If anyone has experience and could offer some help I’d really appreciate it!

i’m sure the first thought will be to simply buy the VMP breakout harness… No offense to VMP but I just can’t justify spending $60 for literally two cut wires. Haha

Bumping this. I did PIN this per my blower instructions, however Lund's tuner wants me to splice it with the MAF via VMP harness. My control pack wire colors are different. See attached. Does anyone have an updated way to splice this before I spend $60 with VMP. Thanks. MAF CONNECTOR
