@BlownGP Remember this from my post above:

I will note that I had to take the hex nut off the [separator] bolt to get it to fit. To keep the separator from slipping off the ball joint, I threaded the ball joint nut on backwards to allow the separator to "grab" better.

I had no luck with the ball joint tools. I just had to hit mine......a lot, and hard....with a hammer. I soaked it in PB Blaster too. Not sure if it helped or not.
