Ford shipped a bunch of 2015 GTs stateside and omitted this very important safety related part.

Can you post some more pictures zoomed out and show where it goes into the light housing?

Yep, it seems to be the horizontal aim adjuster ... and seems to only be on the EU cars.

I'll try get some pictures tomorrow, is out my shed at mo.
It is an European LHD light, in UK we right hand drive, so beam patterns are different,
I wonder if it could be used to change beam pattern from LHD to RHD ?

It is indeed a European LHD light, we RHD in UK.

Are the US units the same other than not having an extension on them so they can be adjusted easier? And if so, can we get the extension and add it to the US lights so its easier to adjust them the NEXT time?

Ha! I worked on improving the manufacturing quality and efficiency of that very headlight adjuster during my first college engineering internship. Funny to see now, almost 10 years later.

I took a look at my 2015 GT headlights to see if the horizontal adjuster was there, but maybe it just didn't have the long extension tube. Used a flashlight and inspection mirror to see the backside of the headlight housing.

Well, looking at the location where the horizontal adjuster should be based on the photos in Post #8, there is NO adjuster at all. There is kind of a molded area in the housing there, but definitely no adjuster of any kind.

I wonder if the 2016 US models have any adjuster there or not?

I ended up adjusting mine while I had bumper off.
Lack of adjusters is sooooo geto Ford.
It should be considered a design requirement.
Sooo lazy.
