I went to the owners manual and on pages 79,80 and 81 it shows exactly what we get...Parking Light indicator and Fog Light indicator.

It looks like thats it! :(

Ok Ok guys... let me help you with this....

Since this car is more into European form and many cars have also started this trend, let me tell you how it goes.

1. Ur headlight indicator will show up , only during high beam, at low beam it wont(its stupid but it is what it is)
2. That two indicator u see which u guys calling parking indicator its sort of for both parking and headlight when in low beam.

It is not with only these , most of new cars are doing this. that headlight blue colour indicator only lights up when in high beam.

In my sonata same was there .. in my other car same shit is der

Yep.

All my other cars with DRL have the same green dual lamp cluster light when the lights are turned on. Since the parking lights are on same circuit as headlights, doesn't make sense to have two cluster lights to tell you both parking lights and headlights are on. Id hope everyone is capable to tell whether the headlights are on at night.

I'm guessing that other one on top is to alert you if there's a brake light failure.

Though I have seen too many dipsticks driving blacked out because they can't figure out only the DRLs are on at night...

There is a separate high beam indicator. The Pony is not all that Euro.

Buddy this car is built keeping international market in heads.

So you know they have added many stuff like European cars. This is one of them.

Get used to it, i have all this on all my cars. No big deal.

Sorry but ...

The blue HI BEAM indicator is at the 9:00 position on the gauge (under the needle in the pic above), the "Lighting Control" light (upper right) that is in question is not the same indicator.

At the front of the owners manual on page 8 the "Lighting Control" symbol is shown in the "Symbols Glossary", but it's function is not mentioned with the rest of the indicator lights on pages 79-81.

Looked up "Lighting Control" in the index and it brought me to page 68 and the headlamp switch. Maybe that light comes on when you have "Autolamps" on as it's symbol on the switch is similar.

I don't even own a 2015 yet (rented a Prem EB in November for a week though), yet I think I've gotten the closest to answering the question.

Forgive me as I didn't know my question had to meet an unspecified level of seriousness. Your reply in post #17 was so on target.

For the rest of us silly people, I'll ask the dealer's shop techs Friday when they will be replacing my sun visor that they broke off during the PDI. The service manager didn't think my question was silly when I asked him.

Thanks Doug. I've turned off the Lighting Control (Auto Lamps) and it didn't light. I hope to have a better idea when the service team takes a look on Friday.
