Not the twisties haha...(in due time) 1/4 mile.... Looking for any sort of launching tips, I found that my old terminator (pulley, tuned, exhaust) was really tricky to get going off the line. (1.7 60' on et streets with a best time of 11.9). Will be running 100% stock with stock tires. Any input would be appreciated. :headbang:

Read the owners manual and get familiar with the drag race mode. That may help. If you experience wheel hop, back off. Wheel hop can be a real parts killer. Take everything not nailed down out of the car. Trunk mats, inflator kit, manuals and anything else you can think of. Perhaps consider track insurance. A sudden turn at half track could get very expensive. Good luck.

Hold the AH/TC up for a few seconds until you see the AT has been turned off. Do a small line lock burnout. Don't try to launch it hard on your first pass, just go for MPH, which is the real tell tale sign of power and potential. If you get wheel hop then let out. Post up your results!

Thanks guys, I've experienced wheel hop before and certainly an indicator to let off. Will have to experiment a bit as it's been a while

Little to no track prep, crisp temps yielded a 12.7 @ 115 mph with a terrible 2.2 60' sliding down in first and second. Certainly low 12's to come on a Saturday or Sunday when they actually prep the track. Overall happy with the results given conditions.

Best sounding drag race ever (at least with street cars).

I like your buddy razzing you as well. That was a nice touch.

Regarding drag race mode: There is a setting with a christmas tree icon that represents drag race mode. Not sure of all the changes it makes, but one is to reduce the rear shock stiffness to allow for better weight transfer and a better launch. Not sure how much it matters in the GT350 with its tall gearing and lack of low-end grunt, but maybe it helps.

Thanks for sharing your results. Track prep and 60ft are everything. Will you post up your slip and the name of the track, I'd like to see what the DA was, which also plays a factor.

I'm headed to the strip today to make a few passes while my car is stock, I'll post up my results as well.

Hey Bro,
Don't take your car to the strip .
After your low 9 second /156 mph GT you will be mighty disappointed?

I always get mad when I take mine and threaten to sell her ....untill I drive one of the "1000 hp race car " GT's on the street .
Lol

I scrolled through the settings in the dash and didn't see anything on drag mode. Unfortunately the car is really new to me and noticed after I was done for the night that setting was on the steering wheel and was smh lol... I feel pretty confident to achieve mid to low 12's given last night's circumstances on the track. I forgot how fun it was that's for sure. What is the expected normal time for these cars with drivers that aren't pros, low 12's? A lot of different variables for sure but....
