From my limited experience at the strip, 1/8th mile only here, and only one day with about 12-13 runs, best I managed in the 1/8th was an 8.355 at 92.7mph on a 2.25 60ft.
Tried using drag mode and launch control at all sorts of different rpms from 4000 all the way to 6000. 60fts ranged from the best of 2.25 all the way to 2.6, but the track wasn't prepped great.
I was getting wheel hop on a lot of runs, and came to the conclusion that the OEM launch control is a bit of a gimmick. Just doesn't do a good job limiting torque and the traction control system in drag mode isn't quick enough for an aggressive launch. It would hop off the line but spin, and then the car would fully wait until it settled down before even giving the car any throttle again.
I'm going to the next event on the 16th locally and am going to try 2500-3000rpms with quick throttle application after a slight slip of the clutch. Though I may try LC since I got the MPSS on now, in Track Mode as the TC is much more lenient and will allow more spinning. Should be able to get a 1.7-1.8 60ft on these cars as others already have, just difficult to launch properly. I know it's not a drag car but no track here so got to have some fun when ya can!
But by the sounds of it I probably would have made a 12.5ish pass based on my 1/8th time and yours
