I'll offer a different opinion....headers seem to make this car very loud, which I have no interest in. A good intake manifold offers some very nice gains up top without the noise penalty.
I would try to get around some 15+ Mustangs in person that have long tubes to make sure that you don't make a decision you will regret.
I have long tubes on my C7, but that car makes a lot of power and sort of "needs" headers rather than just want them for a small power bump and some "sound." So I am not "against" headers, but many people regret them (many people like them, too) because they just wake the dead and then spend all their time trying to find ways to quiet their system down.
My long tubes are paired with borla s type cat back and the car on the highway and normal driving isn't any louder then before my cat back with no drone at all while cruising. Now going WOT and cold starts. Well that a different story haha.
