I'll offer a different opinion....headers seem to make this car very loud, which I have no interest in. A good intake manifold offers some very nice gains up top without the noise penalty.

I would try to get around some 15+ Mustangs in person that have long tubes to make sure that you don't make a decision you will regret.

I have long tubes on my C7, but that car makes a lot of power and sort of "needs" headers rather than just want them for a small power bump and some "sound." So I am not "against" headers, but many people regret them (many people like them, too) because they just wake the dead and then spend all their time trying to find ways to quiet their system down.

My long tubes are paired with borla s type cat back and the car on the highway and normal driving isn't any louder then before my cat back with no drone at all while cruising. Now going WOT and cold starts. Well that a different story haha.

Are you getting drone while spirited driving? Also not sure if you mentioned but are you catless as well? Thank you!

I absolutely agree with this, the only reason I didn't suggest the IM now was I got the impression an NA build would be coming later and it's more likely intake improvements will come later down the line VS. headers being what they are and will remain a constant no matter when or what you build. Also why I suggested the full ARH system, it seems to be less obnoxious than many other exhaust pairings out there. Excellent advice on listening to a few cars with headers first though

Yeah it's a little louder while some spireted driving but I hate drone and this car basically has none while cruising. Yes I'm a Catless.

I'm in the same boat right now. Tax return sucks so I can't do both. I like the GT350 IM as it will help out even more with the top end. I'm scared to do the headers as I'm already running the Corsa xTreme and it might get to be too loud and ridiculous. Decisions...decisions...

It will be insanely loud with headers and that exhaust. There are ways to calm it down but some won't go through the trouble. And yes the install sucks...

I am wondering how much gains you would actually see without headers with the 350 manifold. I would think less than others because of the lack of capacity the stock headers would have at moving all that new air sucked in out...

I kind of realized it will be insanely loud...but kind of awesome at the same time? The GF is actually pushing me to make my car louder to piss off her downstairs neighbors :headbang:

Cold starts wake the dead, I love it, the neighborhood kids love it, the wives all hate it :). My wife loves it; especially the fact she can hear me come from a mile or two away. The kids in the neighborhood will come by and ask to see/hear the race car every now and then. Kind of fun to watch the moms shake their head.

It not my daily driver so I don't feel bad at all about when I do start it. Except for cars and coffee on a saturday at 5:30 am....

See mine is a daily. The xTreme is close to perfect as-is. I could use a few more db's but too much might be annoying. So unsure of what to do... :(

Trade the xtremes for sports or something a little quieter. Long tubes are my favorite mod so far. I have them paired with a magnaflow street CB though so it's still somewhat tame.

But at the same time, I am overly excited to get an intake mani installed.

A few folks swap out the xpipe for resonators. I ran that for a while with my ataks and the sound was MUCH more tame. When I didn't have to drive it daily because of a job change i opened it back up. If you resonate the exhaust it will calm down. That's the step most won't take.

Sports + the double x midpipe are the same thing as the xtreme system. So there would be no change in volume from current.

Touring is a different muffler though.

Ah I see. I'm not very familiar with corsa.. I must have mistaken the touring, for the sport.. What I was getting at, was going with a quieter axle back.. Seems like the xtremes are pretty sought after, so you shouldn't have any problem selling or trading.
