Headers Recommendation!

If you're planning on getting catless headers and are looking for the best bang for the buck, I would look at MAK Cat Delete pipes. Only ~10hp less than a full catless header and much cheaper.

Cheaper if you can install it yourself.. sending it out to get installed $$$.

MarylandSpeed has them listed for sale already. I'm thinking of going this route but I'd love to hear feedback on fitment and such.

Headers + Install will be significantly more than Deletes + Install.

Now if you want to install the headers yourself there's not as much price difference then.

Labor is usually $200ish for the delete pipes install, and is pretty impossible to do at home unless you have a lift and can weld.

possibly one of the dumbest questions.. I have Corsa sport quad tip. and I have my cats deleted. I would want headers that are not stupid loud. I will be getting catted headers when I get them. Anyone know of good headers that are not too loud? Dont want to get ANOTHER loud exhaust ticket if I can help it.. Also I prefer less rasp if possible..

In my experiences, headers are headers as far as volume goes. Primary size and collector design may alter the tone *a bit* but the volumes will more or less wash.

I can't imagine how you would get a ticket for Sports.
I have Xtremes and actually have gotten a couple of thumbs-up from cops.

Picture this.. 11pm. Pull up behind a car at a red light.. sit and wait for light to turn green.. lights turn green and red and blue lights come on behind you. I wasnt even moving yet. I wasnt revving, racing, driving loud or anything.. tells me any aftermarket exhaust is illegal, pop the hood.. i have an intake also.. windows were rolled down.. writes me a tint ticket also.. never even checked the windows or saw that they had tint as both front windows were completely down..

loud exhaust, tint and altered emissions system (Intake).. car has to go to the ref.. it would have been different if i was actualy being a douche and being louder than i should be.. but I wasnt. I work with law enforcement all the time as i manage armed security.. its crap.. but whatever..

Its going to increase the volume no matter what brand of headers it is. Catted will make it a bit less loud but it's still going to be much louder than your current set up

That's wild. Last time I got pulled over in the GTO the cop asked if I was running long tubes and complimented the sound. Still wrote me a speeding ticket though :frusty:

Modifying emissions is illegal in FL but we don't have inspection so it's kind of moot.

Follow on question. I have mbrp 3" cat back street series. When I purchase headers do I go with the performance 3" connection or factory. I'm looking at stainless works high flow cat option from marylandspeed.
