Most now a days will fit fine without issue. I would also recommend 1 7/8s personally. If you would like to see what kind of options we have and what we can do for you, shoot me a Pm or give us a call over at Lethal Performance. Have a good weekend!

My ARH headers are coated black. $200 to do by Enigma Coatings in Austin. Anything to keep extra heat out of the engine bay.

I've mentioned this before, but what's your opinion on some kind of heat shielding on the intake system? Previously I was talking about a physical barrier, silver lining-backed insulation. But now I'm thinking about coating. At least on the airbox, and possibly on the tube from the airbox to the throttle body as well. And also a Big Mouth, an extension from the intake snorkel to the grille, which helps to keep engine bay backwash getting into the air intake, at least at idle.

Can these ceramic coatings be painted over, or is the surface critical to the heat insulation? In case I want to both coat the tube from the airbox to the throttle body, and paint it for dress-up as well.

Won't do well I wouldn't think. The coating prevents heat escaping so if it heats up, it will retain the heat longer on the inside. I've seen insulation work though, but only takes off a few degrees. I've never seen someone coat, then paint over the coating.

I'd just powder coat it for looks and keep the heat coating for parts like headers and turbos.

I just started watching a video on YT to see headers being installed. The video I came across was from CJ Pony Parts with LTH headers. There was a rep from LTH there, and he said they don't ceramic coat theirs, because in his words, "It will tear down welds over time." So...what's he talking about?

It's about 35 seconds in:
