Header installation cost

Just wondering what an average cost would be since I don't want the headache. kooks 1 7/8 off-road long tubes.

Quoted me $600 by a reputable shop. Out of respect for the owner/business, will not say which shop.

Currently doing my own headers at the moment. Started Friday and worked on it till Sunday. Still working on the passenger but because I got stuck so many times. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

I paid $350 to a buddy of mine who owns a shop. Expect to pay 400-700. Anything more is excessive.

I dunno. Some people are not mechanically inclined (like me). I can turn a wrench just fine, but things typically go wrong, or I happen to be missing the one tool I need the most. I'm glad I paid a shop to do mine.

Anyway, $500 is about the average, give or take. If you get insane quotes like $1000, that's the shop telling you they don't want to do it.

Mine was 440 all in and I had the X pipe welded to the mid pipe to get rid of the restriction at the flange.

Why do so many people go with catless headers and not just the Mak cat delete considering how much cheaper it would be? The majority of the restriction is at the cats anyway is it not

My Kooks cost me $1,000 by a race shop. They put the locking tabs on every bolt to boot.
No issues and to me the price was okay. After installing my Steeda springs I knew there was no way I'd tackle the headers.
Mine are catted and coupled to Solo Mach XV and I get a lot of compliments on the sounds.
