Backing out has several costs for me:
1 Getting back deposit... potentially okay
2 Going to Iowa and getting from Granger... i have my car to trade in, i live in NYC, so the round trip is about 2200 miles -> a week off of work
3 Getting onto the back of the process/queue
4 Getting the title back for my trade-in as the car has a title that states the auto loan was paid but isn't "clean"
5 This is the biggest issue: My bank loan (I have the check) would have to be re-drafted and not sure how agreeable the bank would be to that
I thought you were happy with your dealer? What happened?

First time poster and first time factory order. Located in Salt Lake.
  • Order Confirmed 3/31
  • Car scheduled to be made the week of 5/31 (dealership showed me a print off with this date)
  • Delivery estimate 6/28
I'm not receiving emails from Ford. I'm getting my information from the Vehicle Order Tracking site.

Ford is all over the place with their projected production dates LOL...

3/19 - came to agreement with the salesman on my order.
3/22 - dealership placed the order with Ford.
3/25 - Ford emails me with a production date of May 31.
3/26 - Ford emails a production date of May 3.
3/27 - Ford emails a production date of May 24.
4/9 - Ford emails a production date of May 17.

And the order tracking site always seems to lag a few days behind the emailed updates. Come on guys, this should not be that difficult.
UPDATE: 4/15 - Ford emails me a production date of May 24. We had that one already guys, let's have a May 10 so we can get the whole month covered. A-holes.

Not to be a downer but this is not good news for those waiting for an order.:frown: The only up side is that normally plants have a two week summer shut down some time in July and they hope to use these weeks instead. One thing for sure, Ford hates this as much as we do. They don't make money if they are not producing vehicles.


The following U.S. plants are being affected by parts shortfalls created by the global semiconductor chip shortage:

  • Chicago Assembly Plant will be down the weeks of April 19 and April 26. (This is in addition to the previously announced week of April 12)
  • Flat Rock Assembly Plant will be down the weeks of April 19 and April 26. (This is in addition to the previously announced week of April 12)
  • Kansas City Assembly Plant – both F-150 and Transit lines – will be down the weeks of April 19 and April 26. (This is in addition to KCAP Transit lines being down the week of April 12, as previously announced)
  • Ohio Assembly Plant will produce Super Duty Chassis cabs and Medium Duty trucks only the weeks of April 19 and April 26
  • Kentucky Truck Plant will be down the weeks of April 26 and May 3, and will not work super shifts the weeks of May 8, May 16, May 22, May 29 and May 31
  • Individual Powertrain and Stamping plants will provide specifics around their operating patterns to support the assembly plants as they are confirmed"

If you want out of the deal none of that is an issue.
Communicate it to the dealer you wanna walk

Yeah, but I still have the fake Shelby plates. And the color matches my truck, so there. :like:
You shouldn’t have said you were waiting for new plates. Could have had a lot of fun trolling with those plates on that car. “Guys it’s basically a 350 that’s why I got these plates”

A small extension that attaches to the top edge of the rear spoiler on the HP package to increase down force at very very high speeds.
OK so it’s only on the handling package? I got the reg Mach 1 with Recaro’s Ordered. Coincidentally I went to my Ford dealer today To let them know not to touch the car whatsoever do not unwrap it leave the plastic on the seats do not wash it. I know the sales manager very well he knows I’m crazy LOL. They happen to have a fighter jet gray on the lot. Dirty though
Mine is white. I’m pumped
