Lol my brother has an x with muffler delete, like a nuclear reactor on start up.Be prepared for quiet cold starts that sound like a bomb going off. Otherwise they aren't so bad.
I got sound compliments before and after getting mine.
You would love our Lethal H pipe! https://www.lethalperformance.com/l...018-mustang-5-0l-resonator-delete-h-pipe.html Great quality and it does not break the bank. If you have any questions feel free to ask!Hi 6G,
Loving the '18 GT! My first mod was the addition of a Ford Trunk Mat!
The second mod I'd like to pursue is the resonator/briefcase delete in the form of an X-Pipe or an H-Pipe.
My car does have Active Exhaust, which I would like to retain that functionality.
I have been researching the two options and it seems the X-Pipe is more aggressive and raspy with upper end torque, while the H-Pipe is a deeper, "traditional muscle car," tone with lower end torque.
Based on that, I am interested in the H-Pipe.
Next, I studied 304 Stainless might be better than 409 stainless or aluminized. The 304 being less likely to rust.
I noticed there are a lot more X-Pipe options than H-Pipe. Why do you suppose that is?
The two most interesting 304SS H-Pipes I've found are at Steeda and Mishimoto.

https://www.mishimoto.com/ford-mustang-gt-h-pipe-15.html
The Steeda is listed at $230 on sale for $160, while the Mishimoto is listed at $280.
I'm leaning towards Steeda based on the sale price and the 30 years experience working on Mustangs that they have.
Any feedback on my logic and choice? Experiences with X-Pipes vs. H-Pipes? Various Brands?
Thank you for your input!
There's a thread in the Steeda section (in Venors), just pop in and for a discount code.Thinking about buying the Steeda H pipe myself. The original poster mentioned the sale. How often does Steeda have sales?
Thanks for the info on the thread check it out. I normally do this kind of work myself and wouldn't think of paying anybody for it however 40 bucks is great. Id definitely pay that to not have to lay on my garage floor for a couple hours. There's a thread in the Steeda section (in Venors), just pop in and for a discount code.
I just did a resonator delete with their H-pipe this week and I absolutely love it, especially with the active exhaust. Local shop cut out the resonator and installed for me Monday morning for $40.
