Hi Folks,

I recently installed a H-Pipe but the issue now is I cant select any exhaust modes (I have active exhaust).

When I start the cat, the error box pops up for about 5 seconds letting me know that I cant select any modes, anyone have this issue before when installing a H or X pipe?

Cheers.

Sounds like the exhaust shop forgot to plug the actuators back in.

Either the actuators arent plugged in or the wires got cut on the pinch weld when reinstalling
It looks like the actuators are plugged in from what I can see, not sure if they are loose as it was to hot to get my hand in there and check. Ill check the wires and see also but they look fine. Maybe the wiring going into the actuators got crimped, they look pretty bent just at the entry into the actuators.

Had a better look, it the wires look a little stretched going into the actuator but not pinched or pulled out. I did end up checking the number 34 fuse for the exhaust valves and it has blown, well, one side of the fuse is brown/black and looks blown. I pulled another out and have them side by side and the valve one is definitely black on one side and looks like its blown. Will pop into my auto shop and grab a fuse and update later.

Update: It was a blown fuse, replaced fuse and all good.

I wonder how that happened? Maybe they took the exhaust fully off and didn't realize there were electrical connectors, and somehow stretched/shorted them blowing the fuse?

I just installed an h-pipe on my 2019 GT w/active exhaust, I didn't remove the rear part of the exhaust, wasn't really necessary to do so.

I would carefully inspect the harness's going to the actuators. I would imagine the pinch weld rubbed through the insulation and shorted out, blowing the fuse.

I had a good look at the wiring going into the actuators and they look fine. Are you able to see the colours of the wires or should that heat wrapping cover it up, hard to explain. Im wondering if the heat wrapping has slipped alittle off the actuators due to the install.

Not sure what happened, the only thing I can think of is when the cuts happened and the rear part of the exhaust fell loose, it may have stretched or pinched or done something to the wiring going ito the actuators that caused the blown fuse. But for now, its all good no more issues with it.

I didnt remove the rear part, and neither did the shop. They just took the H-Pipe out and deburred it alittle to get it to fit and applied some exhaust sealer also to make sure it doesnt leak. Looks alot better then when I installed it.

Did any of it get welded on? If it did might have gotten shorted out when they did some welding.
