  1. Hash stripes

Decided to add a little more black to my orange fury Mustang. I didn’t want a full side stripe, so went with some hash stripes. First, I mocked them up with some painters tape so I could decide where I wanted them, how wide, and how far apart. Next, I carefully placed the first line of...
  2. What does your Garage look like

I love it so far, and so does the wife. I got the flow-through tiles. I’m in Michigan, so we get the winter snow and slush that gets carried into the garage. Nice thing here is that when it melts, it drops below the tiles instead of leaving a puddle on the floor (or worse, ice). Almost all...
  3. What does your Garage look like

Mines a work in progress. I added Racedeck tiles recently, will do some more work this summer.
  4. Justrite Accuflow 5 gallon gas can vs S550 trunk

Just wanted to post in case anyone is wondering - the expensive but oh so nice Justrite Accuflow 5 gallon gas cans will just barely fit in the trunk of a 2019 Mustang. These are the ones with the higher handle. I wanted a good can for picking up extra e85 on fillips, and couldn’t find any...
  5. What junk is in your trunk?

12v air pump, tire patch kit, jump starter, first aid kit, chemlights, duct tape, paracord, and some tools.
  6. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Not hardwired sensors, but Ford has some sort of algorithm that calculates the ethanol percentage. The nGauge/Lund tune uses that and goes through a "learning" procedure whenever you fill up. This video has some great info and shows the learn process.
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Filled the beast up with e85 for the first time since installing the Lund Flex Fuel tune! I was worried the local station with e85 was really more like e50 during the winter here in Michigan, but the alcohol learn percentage settled at 74%. Not bad, considering I didn't drain the tank...
  8. Factory Front Strut Failures at low mileage

I had to have the front passenger strut/strut mount replaced at only 2800 miles on my 19 GT. I didn't see any oil leaking, but had a terrible clunking sound from that corner of the car.
  9. How many of you switched from manual to auto with the 2018+?

Count me in. My previous Mustangs were all manuals. Drove some SUVs for a bit, and then bought an automatic Mustang back in June. A screwed up left knee, and right shoulder that just got operated on convinced me. While I love manuals, I’ll never go back!
  10. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Unbelievable but it’s 56 degrees outside here in Michigan. The day after Christmas! So my baby got a nice hand washing, then taken out for a drive to datalog for my Lund tune.
  11. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Did I need this? Nope. Does it perform better than the stock air box. Likely, no, though I did leave the insert out and put a Lund 93 tune on it configured for this without the insert. Installed a Roush air intake, and Lund 93 octane tune. Will be going to flex/e85 next.
  12. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Put everything back on that I had taken off prior to the dealership visit to get the strut mount replaced. Then added some Steeda rear vertical links that I had picked up during Black Friday.
  13. Fun in the snow

Mines a daily driver. In Michigan. Bought a set of aftermarket wheels and put dedicated Bizzak snow tires on it. Haven’t had too much snow yet, but she’s done well in what we’ve had.
  14. Front passenger clunking sound

I tested mine by doing the bounce test on each corner of the car. Get it bouncing a bit and stop, and the shock/strut should very quickly dampen the motion. Mine was fine, which made me suspect that thevstrut mount/bearing was the issue. got the car back today from the dealer, they...
  15. Can someone with the Borla resonator give me a measurement please?

Just took this picture, hope it helps. Note - the ruler was lined up with the edge of the pipes.
  16. Front passenger clunking sound

Follow up - took it to one dealership and told them I had disconnected the sway bar endlinks as a test and ruled them out. Dealer kept the car a day and then claimed the endlinks were loose. BS - I have a torque wrench and use it. Took it to a different dealership yesterday. Called me by...
  17. Is my suspension cracked

I dropped my 2019 GT off at the dealership today for a similar sound that happens over even tiny bumps. I used a Chassis Ear tool and traced it to either the passenger side front strut or the strut mount. 2700 miles on the car. (And yes the strut nut was tight.)
  18. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Got ahold of a Chassis Ear kit and finally narrowed my clunking sound to the passenger front strut. Strut nut is tight, and the car dampens fine, so looks like the strut mount/bearing failed. Taking it for warranty repair tomorrow.
  19. Center support driveshaft bearing

Just very slightly, which makes a bit of a click. This would potentially explain why sometimes I think the sound is in the front, other times the rear. And my wife swears it’s from the middle under the car. It also seems that the clunking is getting worse over time.
  20. Center support driveshaft bearing

I’ve been unsuccessfully chasing down a clunking sound under my car when going over small bumps. I was under the car today trying again to find the culprit, and noticed my driveshaft center support bearing looks odd to me. The rubber is only on one side (which may be normal?), but looks very...
