Take some time to get to know the car before modding it. Contrarian advice, I know.

VMP for auto tunes. Had others and by far they were the best.
Took a look at their site. Looks like they (as does bama) do custom tunes insomuch that they will take into account your mods and fuel. But does not look like they do anything based on log files.

This surprises me that it seems no one offers a true custom etune.

AED does. They require logs before a tune is sent out.

Foghat, you can get a "remote" tuning session thru VMP in which they offer datalogging services.

All of the top tuners customize their tunes based off of datalogs. Mine is a custom tune from Steeda, before that from Brenspeed. Both data logged on a dyno.

Steeda
VMP
AED
BAMA
Lund

These are just off the top of my head.

+1. Bama customized my tune based on my datalogs and mods since I was knocking under WOT above 4k RPM. Just gotta find someone to work with you.

From some research on other threads about tuners it seems the best for specifically auto transmissions are VMP, Lund/lethal performance, and C&L. Of those C&L is the only one to do free updates it seems. Second tier of good-great are Bama and Steeda, both of which offer free updates.

I had kind of been buying the line that cold air intake would be kind of not worth it with this car (based on Dave Pericak's comments). Any input from anyone on whether they think it will be worth it? I see in a thread in another part of the forum that there will be some dyno numbers soon, but I really wonder how much of any gains are really in the tune? I do realize that the larger intake will help more as more mods are made.

Do these guys do this via etunes? Or do you actually have to go a physical location and throw the car on a dyno?
