There's a lot involved.But wouldn't a MR car with stiffer swaybars and wider tires ride and handle even more phenomenally?
However much transient understeer bias Ford builds in is going to matter, and short of fitting a DSC controller (and learning how to use it), that's out of user control. And tuning MR is definitely more involved than learning how to tune double-adjustable hydraulic-only shocks.
For me, having the ability to tune whatever dampers are on my car means far more than the ride comfort benefits offered by MR and having to live with somebody else's damping preferences. Give me the option of being able to tune that MR and I'd be more than willing to give it a shot.
I've been told that MR defaults to full soft upon loss of power (duh) and possibly so upon loss of signal. As rare as such situations are, they're at least something to consider.
