Man, definitely a controversial color. Why couldn't Ford have just given us the color we all want? Just a regular dark green. Obviously I would have loved Dark Highland Green but I even would have settled for Ivy Green. Guard is okay, probably would be my choice still but it's just maddening. I don't think Ford would offend anyone by offering a regular dark green.
Agreed

But we don't all want it. :) I think guard looks great, as a PP especially, and I think for Mustangs, Ford should reserve PY/PX for BULLITT special editions. But I totally see where you are coming from and DHG/HG is a gorgeous color, but I think Guard is as well.
but also agree with this

I'll reserve final judgement on Guard till I see it in person but I just wish it had more green. I can see what you mean about reserving DHG for the Bullitt edition, but Ford offered ordinary dark green Mustangs for the majority of it's 50 year history. I was annoyed when there was no dark green offered on the s197 aside from Bullitt too.

No point complaining I guess, maybe they'll bring it back for a 2018 Bullitt to celebrate 50 years of the movie. Until then, I guess a repaint is my only option.

Guard is dark, but has a gray hue. And, yeah, the pics don't do it justice. You need to see it.

I have a pic of the Guard from their color guide next to some DHG touch-up paint on primer (that I had left over from My BULLITT.) I'm not sure it will show well once I upload.

And yeah, I get you now. A dark green would be nice. Like you said, it doesn't have to be specifically PY/PX.

And 2018.. that will be interesting to say the least! :D

It's an Ecoboost. The V6 has the tri-bar plus pony on the rear.

And those are two of the most stunning photos I've seen of S550 yet :headbang:

Looks better this way. I wonder if any of the GT people will be trading with the ecoboost owners.

The GT looks just as good if not better with the shark grille

Ohhhh that ass! lol

Looks really good, great photography and editing. I'm afraid it won't look like this all the time.

I will contemplate replacing the GT in the rear with the Pony.
