I honestly hope that GUARD has a more GREEN in it like this two pictures showing.
Just be sure to drive in the shade with permanent studio lighting fixed to your car. When you take a photo, be sure to adjust the tint and crank the saturation up. That's how you get a color like that photo. :) :(

You are honestly going to be disappointed. Please refer back to the other 100+ pictures in this thread.

Well I am just about ready to give up on "guard" and settle for "ingot silver"

I live where the sun is usually out and I don't like gray over the more green that seems obvious when a guard car is indoors or in the shade.

I also want to drive in the winter and silver (along with white) seems to survive the winter road slime looking a bit better than any dark color does.

The silver looks great - but not as fine as the dark highland green on any Bullitt or ivy green or even lime frost poly. I can live with ingot silver easily. My only objection to the silver is that so very many deadly boring cars are painted silver. It is so nondescript and common. It does however compliment well the lines of the Mustang.

The criticism of Ford for not offering a real, discernible green resonates with me. Green draws me in but I have to squint and think and reason to like guard and I shouldn't have to do that.

I could like guard; I know I will like ingot silver - just not as much as a variety of shades of real green from Mustang's past.

Why does Ford present us with such an odd color that leaves us ambivalent? It could be great, but . . . . . (fill in the blank).

So I am very close to crossing the green line to something I can clearly define - ingot silver for my (coupe) order.

It's purplish in the noon day sun, don't doubt me. Back on topic...
LOL... Funny, I own the color and see it in all conditions. Purple I have seen in Kona but never in DIB:crazy:

please stop posting that you're switching. wasting space.

some people love the color.
I have taken 6 people to see the color on a fusion at a dealer nearby, and all have loved guard. The comment is usually "its very classy" and "love it, get this instead of black."

Not ambivalent at all. :)

Ohhhh that ass! lol

Looks really good, great photography and editing. I'm afraid it won't look like this all the time.

I will contemplate replacing the GT in the rear with the Pony.
I'd love to just completely remove the badge and leave the whole filler panel all black with no emblem. I'm dying to know if removing it is going to leave holes, or if it is just a stick-on emblem.

I'm willing to bet you its just stick on. It looks like there's no variation in the tail panel between the various trims

FYI: Dental Floss is a great way to remove stuck on emblems.

mini review

After many long months of wondering if I made the right 'sight unseen' choice of colors I finally saw guard on a fusion today. I have to say that I love, love, love this color!! It has two distinct looks; in direct sun and in the shade. In the sun it has the perfect shade of green(IMO) and metal flake that just pops! It is going to look amazing on the mustang. In the shade, the green is gone, metal flake gone. It takes on a mysterious gray, almost blackish, non-color. I think most people would say its a dark gray. Overall it's just a unique color that will only compliment the lines of the mustang. I hijacked this pic cause this looks fairly close (but not quite) to what it looks like in the sun.

^^Actually the above pic you can kinda see both sides of guard. Top center is in the sun...bottom center, in the shade.

:lol:I looked for DIB to confirm my initial opinion...none on lot:( DIB was my first choice but when I saw it in person it leaned a bit towards purplish IMO. Then again my eyesight aint what it used to be. I will defer to your first hand experience.;)
