Is there a reason Guard is so hard to find? I know it was only made in 15/16 and not 17, but are owners just holding on to them, or were less made in the color? It's easier to find a Grabber Blue in my area.

it was the rarest color, I believe. I know I don't want to sell mine.

At least in my area, 7 different dealers and no guard metallic anywhere. Being a fan of the movie Bullitt i have always wanted a green mustang. With none on the lots had to order mine. Think i have seen one other mustang wearing guard. Believe dealers just didn't order that many guard opting for the more popular colors.

It was only 6% of all Mustangs sold in 15-16. Most have been sold, and I'd like to think that many of the folks who like guard are also the type to hang onto cars a lot. Subtle, classy, but not boring like the variations of silver or grey everywhere.

Strictly anecdotal, but I had a dealer refuse to special order guard because if I didn't take it, he wouldn't be able to sell it. (his words) I don't know if it was country wide, but for whatever reason, in the northeast, dealers I spoke with did not want to order guard as they all thought it would sit on the lot.
To your other points, I've only ever seen one other guard in the wild, and I've publicly stated that I won't be selling mine until dark highland green comes back.

Thanks for the link! It only covers for 2015 models though I think. I wonder if production was even less for 2016 or not...
