Tell them they owe you a new wheel if they damaged it.

Oh the typical poor man abusing someone else's car at the shops. You have NO idea how many times I've warned the damn techs with the IQ of a peanut to not rev or abuse my car prior to them even driving it, some respect it and some get mad but I don't give a damn go rev and abuse someone else's car. They don't care and it sucks.

Good luck with a set of new wheels out of that situation.

Had that happen with one of my previous cars when I took it to a tire shop I've trusted for over 15 years to have a couple new tires put on. When I picked the car up I noticed the machine they used to mount the tires had gouged both of the wheels in the lip area and put several scratches on them.

I confronted the sales guy who of course wanted no part of my complaint until I got the owner involved, finally they admitted that they likely caused the damage and would replace them. If I had known how much trouble it would be to get an acceptable pair of wheels I wouldn't have even bothered with the situation. It took well over a month for them to get me a set of wheels that weren't damaged worse than the current wheels, almost as though it was a game to them to see if they could get me to give up.

After losing my patience and threatening to take them to small claims court I finally got a new set of wheels. Haven't been back to that shop since and won't ever refer to them again.

I'd call the shop manager or owner and let them know I'm purchasing my two NEW wheels, to replace the two damaged wheels, that they damaged and bringing them a receipt for immediate payment.
As a shop owner, if this would have happened, I'd had you two NEW wheels asap. Unfortunately things happen, its WHAT you do about it that counts and speaks for the integrity of the shop.

Ranger Rx3040. Touchless!! Have three of them.
I'd continue to try and reach the owner. I have had wheels repaired in the past and looked brand new. The trouple is the 2-3 days it may take. Best of luck to ya. And I'd scratch that place off my list of shops to EVER do business with.

Better business bureau. I'd confront with that.

I've heard this does very little now a days....might be better suited to just threaten them with a bad yelp review. I can't stand when people do that but it seems to get more results than the BBB threat.

Agreed. I'd tell them every site will be a bad review.

Either have them replaced or refinish all 4, otherwise they will not match perfectly.

The 4 from factory were all finished at the same time Abd same process

When I had my tires mounted on aftermarket wheels I talked to several shops. Many said they would not stand behind any damage to the wheels, so they were off my list. I found an upscale frame and wheel shop who guaranteed they would not scratch my wheels. I paid what some would say was an outrageous price, but I was willing to pay more to make sure there weren't any problems - any they did a great job.

When I had tires replaced last year the tech used a long screwdriver to scrape the old wheel weights off. Long story short he scraped the every wheel from the face to the back of the barrel.

They paid to get them repainted. Just let them fix it. It was almost impossible to tell they were ever hurt.

They don't have to replace, they only have to repair.
