Got see this car in person today. Pictures do not accurately depict how wide this car is, or the overall proportions. Thought my F450 had a big rearend.

Does seeing it in person sway you one direction or the other as far as deciding to keep your allocation or not? At least based on all the other information you have so far

That’s a tough question to answer. I will say the tooling for the body was up there in cost. Not sure how multi-matic does it for carbon fiber but glass molds usually get scrapped and repopped every 3-4 dozen or the panels quality starts dropping off considerably. The car is a big ….. , for sure. I have a hard time seeing where they’re going to pull weight from to keep the already very high price down.

Looks like it’s more than just a GT500 on steroids ?

Rumor is it will not fit in a standard enclosed trailer

What Ford really should have on display with the car itself is a unit without the body on it. Chevy has one for the Corvette which is really cool. You can see all the engineering and systems in the car which gives a very good presentation of what the car is and what you’re buying. The negative to that atleast on the Corvette, not knocking it at all, is just how diffcult it would be to actually service anything on the car.

That was the first thing I actually said to my wife. I obviously didn’t have a tape measure but it didn’t look like it would fit in the atc I had. My R or 500 was a tight fit, but atleast in that trailer you could remove the inner fenders to load the car.

My R fits in the trailer and I dont have removeable fenders, but you HAVE TO BE CAREFUL not to rub a fender loading or unloading

I didn’t, but if I go by the Ford booth today I’ll snap a pic of it.
Awesome. I've been following Ford's early moves with a hanful of GTD VIN's. I'd love to see that white one just to gauge progress, if anything. If it's recent, a sticker can likely be generated that isn't just a DH sticker.

Strong finish by Ford/Multimatic. Wish NBC would’ve carried more coverage instead of forcing everyone to Peacock.

Doesn't get any better than that. About time. Holy cow the Vettes were strong too.
