GT500 without Tech pack

Anyone order their GT500 without Tech Pack? I wonder how it is? You still get Sync 3 etc, just no blis, no puddle lights, no nav (no one uses factory nav anyway)....

Has anyone ordered this way or thoughts?

Its just fine. I went with handling package no tech. You still get a big center screen, no difference on the instrument cluster/gauges. I use Apple Car Play so not much use of Sync for me. The Sync that is in the car works just fine for my needs when I don't plug in my phone.

With Apple Cart play I use Google maps and my text messages are read to me.
Puddle lights and blis don't help me go faster so absolute waste in my book. LOL

yes, agreed, they dont help you go faster is exacly what I was thinking...... I dont mind paying for whats worth it, but eh.....

Are there pics of your car, the mirrors interior etc anywhere I could view? Before they offered sync 3 and you used to get that little screen, i couldnt take that, which is why i got a premium when I had my 15 gt.

How is the standard stereo? Still the leather seats etc? If you option recaros I feel the tech pack makes even less sense as you dont get the memory seats anyway...

The stereo is good enough. Not going to make the mirror shake with bass but adequate.

Same here. I ordered mine without the tech pack too. The only thing I miss is the BLIS (have it in my truck), but I've been very happy otherwise. That said, my car is also a CFTP, so the tech package would have had less stuff in it for me (no memory seats) for the same price.

Pretty sure the cup holders and center console are the same across all models of GT500s.

I ordered my CFTP w/o the tech package. IMO it is antithetical to the spirit of the spec.
Exhaust tone is music to my ears and my senses are BLIS. Puddle lamps...cool but...

IMHO, I think the puddle lamps are the coolest part of the Tech Pack. :-)

Yep, the puddle lamps are the coolest part! but 3k??? thats where I struggle, plus you wonder if down the road, non tech packs will be sought after because the tech will be old, similar to how people try to find non nav E92M3...


and yes on the center console, i just wanted to make sure the seat colors went into the center console like the tech pack. ford has a way of doing things where they leave something little dumb out like that , sometimes that isn't mentioned. In a GT350 you really had to have a tech pack to get sync 3 if i remember correctly, now you dont.

Honestly Puddle lamps were the ONLY reason I spec'd out the tech package. They are crazy cool. Yeah I'm pretty old too. )

I have the tech pack. Funny thing is I have not even turned my stereo on and I don't know if I will. Love hearing the car go through the gears and especially the rev match and downshifts. Will never use the Nav.
