Hey Folks,

Been a lurker for a while but just became an owner of a 2022 GT500 CFTP! Anyway on my old car (a ZL1 1LE) the MFG recommended using a specific oil when tracking the car and a different viscosity oil for normal use. As I pretty much only tracked the car, I kept the track oil in all the time. With the GT500 I plan to do the same. Is there a track specific oil for the GT500?

Brand? Viscosity?

And, while I'm here, does anyone know the OEM oil filter part number?

Thank you!

I’m using Amsoil as it still meets fords recommending specs . My memory was that it’s better at extremes than Ford Motorcraft oil. Viscosity should be better at maintaining as well.

Thank you, which Amsoil? Got a part number by any chance? Or a name and weight?

I'm likely overthinking this but I'll add a note and just do the same thing every time.

ZL1 1LE doesn't require special track oil. LOL
Actually, it does. The link you send confirms -
Engine Oil - ZL1 1LE only (Mobil 1 15-W-50)

It's a minor thing but it is different and that's why I asked if the GT500 was similar. Just figured I'd ask the experts.

I'd just follow the owner's manual. If the motorcraft 5w50 full syn is good enough for the Ford GT, and the manual doesn't specify a different oil, that's what I'm using.
