So uh.. am I the only one who is concerned with the more practical matters of owning a R, like if someone rear ends you and cracks the rear wing. IIRC thats a $10k+ OEM part. If the CF wheels get damaged or stolen, thats ~$30k. How does insurance payout even work like that, or why would they insure a car that the wheels alone would cost ~half of the cars MSRP to replace.
If someone rear ends me, I won't need to worry about insurance.
After I kill them, I will be in jail

The wheels are "only" like 12k

I don't care for the tech pack myself. I wanted a R in the worst way and had to settle for a track pack lol. But I'm not a electronics kind of guy. I could careless about power seats, navigation, leather, dual hvac etc. nothing shows the age more then a radio system. In a few short years that navigation system will be dated. I'd rather not have a radio at all like the R. The voodoo is music to my ears!
If you watch any of the auctions recently, you will notice that the performance cars that are equipped to the max bring in more money than "stock" equipped cars. If the equipment is "factory" installed, just adds more to the eventual value of the car. I will say that an "R" model GT350, equipped with the electronics package, will be more valuable down the road. Not sure how you come to the conclusion that nav systems will be dated, considering their increased use in cars today. JMO.

If you look at a navigation/infotainment system from even 5-6 years ago to what you get today, its a huge difference. Not only in screen size and quality, but in terms of user interface and ease of use. Give it another 5-6 years and every car is going to look like a tesla. So in 20-25 years it will be even more dated, so the difference between the two is pretty insignificant.

Rarity plays a big part too, and from what I've seen base (and I really wouldn't call it that, its almost a feature really) seems about 5-10% of the R orders. Hard to say which will be more valuable...

Wish I still had the info my dealer gave me about ford's predicted % for each packages, was really close to what's happening, I expected more people to go for the stripped R.

I know what you mean. But what im saying is that when you see a radio in a vehicle, just like anything else that computer related it's dated before you know it. Sync 3 is here now and tomorrow will be sync 4-5 etc. the comment about dates also goes to the people that replace their radios. Ever see a modern radio in a classic car? It's ugly and out of place. That's what I'm talking about. But in my opinion, and this is just myself talking, if I could of had my track pack without a radio, AC back seat then I'd be happy. I wish ford offered the track pack the same as the R minus the carbon fiber wheels and rear spoiler. Just my opinion.

So far 2036 US bound GT350s have been built. Obviously these will skew a bit once R production resumes

2.1% R
2.8% Base
26.7% Track
68.4% Tech

In 20-25 years we probably won't even be driving. The car will drive for us and we just tell it where to take us. That will be a day I don't want to come. No fun in that. Besides I'll be 64-69 years old. Still young lol.

nice. I'm looking forward to see how the Rs are distributed between base and electronics. Can you share where you got these numbers?

So what some of you are saying, as an example is.
you are in a position to buy a 1965 Mustang GT350
and you will not buy it because it only has an AM radio. REALLY?
LMFAO

Depends who this question is pointed to.
If you mean that to me, then I'm ready to buy it because it's original. But if someone had a modern radio in it then they just ruined it. But I'm still a buyer. But to me, nothing looks worse then modern electronics in a classic. "Unless" it's a restomod. But never in a classic original.
