I guarantee you there are members/visitors here (and maybe elsewhere) that have already been behind the wheel of, tested, and are involved first hand in GT350 development. Info will come out when it comes out and I know this site is no laggard. The problem is without Ford confirmation it will be deja vu of right now. Lots of conjecture and rumors on auto news sites and forums. It's still early.

I am anxiously waiting to see the S550 spotted at Nurburgring.

Remember, as stated by others... The info I post is NOT legitimate, true, accurate or acquired from anybody at FoMoCo. Everything thePill post is for entertainment purposes ONLY.
This flies in the face of having 'exclusive' info don't it? Why does it matter who gets entertainment first.

2016? No, I would rather pressure Ford into a 50th Anniversary 2015 GT350 for this season... The cars development is literally right behind the Base and GT. If the Base/GT is ready for the 5th of December then the GT350 will follow shortly after.
Nothing we (the fans) do will pressure them to release it early. They could show it earlier but a squeeze on engineering resources has already delayed some S550 development and I'm sure things will get shifted around still. SVT already has an idea what it is competing against and they have time to dial it in. It will not be rushed and doesn't need to be.

Depends on the condition I receive it... It wouldn't have anything to do with me.

If the SVT car is in full camo, it is pretty far into the development process.

Sure, all S550 info was incorrect... so was everybody else, including the major media outlets. There is still a lot of mis-information.
Thanks for proving my point. You don't know what you're talking about when it comes to the S550, so no one should listen to you.

Your point was I couldn't get information (years in advanced) on one of the Automotive industry's best kept secrets? Oh darn...

SVT's next product could be a different story... I don't think it will have a difficult time with Chevy's current z28.

If nobody listened to me, Chevy would still be marketing to you a "race car" and sandbagging the competitions lap times while shaving time off of their own. People didn't listen when I told them the mules were running 7:30-7:40... Hmmmmm....

While some of the stuff you have posted is in fact interesting to read, I do feel as if you have an inflated sense of accomplishment. Everything I have seen is I did this and I did that and I changed chevys marketing. Sorry but chevy never advertised the z/28 as being able to race in any sanctioned event, just that it is the ultimate track ready camaro. which isn't exactly wrong.

Your posts are very cryptic....
Your Assault thread was pretty condemning against the Z/28 (even if unfairly so in some respects IMO), but that seemed to work just fine for the folks at M6G....
... I've come to the conclusion he is full of a certain four letter word. He always alludes to knowing inside information, but never offers anything specific. His predictions have not come true. I wouldn't take anything he says or posts too seriously.

Geez, that's a lot of venom.

Why is everybody hating so much? You would think that an opportunity to sling some mud at gm and the camaro would be welcomed on a mustang site.

The pill might not have all the info on the gt350 or the s550, but its fun to speculate until we have solid stuff.

My opinion about haters: If you don't have anything to contribute aside from attacking the op then gtfo seriously. You will probably end up eating crow later so save yourselves the trouble. If you have an opinion about the cars we are discussing then by all means discuss.

Back on topic. I think ford will have an answer for the z28 in the 2015 model year. It has already been said that since there was a 1965 gt350 there should be 50th anniversary model for 2015. S550 mules have been spotted with cermaic brakes on the street. Those tests are usually reserved for cars that are nearly ready for production. I for one would love to see ford come out with a z28 crusher in the same year the z28 debuts. I'd like to see them go with that for 2 years then bring out the 6th gen camaro crusher update. Ala mach 1/ revised gt350/gt500.

Agreed. If we don't see the GT350 right away, I don't think we'll be waiting more then 6-8 months max. That gives Ford some additional development time and chance to pump the hype back up not too long after the initial Base/GT reveal frenzy starts to die down. By the '17 model year, they will have a different SE.

Will the SVT models be offered for sale in Europe or only here in the states?

That's an interesting question. I would assume that the gt350 would be sent overseas. Perhaps in smaller numbers than the u.s? A gt350 could be a pretty rare and highly sought after car in Europe if that's the case.

Re-Edit: Sorry guys, I got a tidbit to "Change the date to 2016" but received an addition from another with an update. Admittedly, this "16" MY was set long ago (how long not really important) and the original information was admittedly old. I personally would fight this 2016 GT350 notion in every conversation as most could probably see. This same person was also kinda in shock about the full camo'd SVT car (never referred to as GT350). However, I was nudged from someone a little further down the development line (I speculate) that the GT350 will be a late 2015 Mustang offering. I myself am thinking Summer for HOPEFULLY an "OK to Buy" and not the unveiling. Still hoping the GT350 will be visible in GS and GTS, perhaps being reverse engineered by Roush and Multimatic. I would also like to see a Tiger car or Paul Brown GTS tribute car as well.

Anyway, thanks guys for your opinions and speculations on the next SVT Mustang (Better be the GT350 Ford!!!)

While some of the stuff you have posted is in fact interesting to read, I do feel as if you have an inflated sense of accomplishment.
It was a common misconception that the z28 would be ready to race like the 1LE. You are correct, Chevy never said it was built for specific series like they did with the 1LE and Ford with the Boss... Chevy never corrected those assumptions either... It wasn't until the "Special Series" comment and the Q&A about it during WOT that people finally accepted (some still not) that the thread I previously made (The Z28 Assault) was pretty much correct. Chevy markets lap times, race equipment and has even been built to "race and win".

I admit, I would be a much better man to just put the information out there for discussion and say nothing at all. Some could see speaking out as a necessity but celebrating about it is a little too much, especially if it's inflated. For the most part, the tone of the thread (and thePill) depends entirely on the content of the post here and content on the internet availible for discussion. If nothing else, I am celebrating all the new found, better men over on Camaro5... After the Nurburgring video, Milford and the fact you can't really race this thing came out, most that talked trash became better men...

... go look at the Z Sections... They're not saying anything at all...

Hence, by shutting them up, I made them better people and I need to celebrate about that...

Other factors are at work here. Exactly what about the Z/28 is left to for the Camaro5 membership to either speculate or complain about other than its price and its dragstrip performance? Its 'Ring time is certainly good but inconclusive, and those media ride-along videos at "8/10ths" aren't going to show anything worth discussing at length to anybody who has ever driven at speed on any road course.

I think traffic there will pick up once people are actually able to at least order one.

Quite honestly, I don't think there ever were more than a relative handful of "regulars" in that forum; certainly whatever number it is, is small in comparison to the 72,000 total site membership or the 45,000 of those who have posted anything at all.
