Yes, your wife can drive on the same days as you but she will not be in a GT350. Day 1 will cost her about $1600 and she will be in a track prepped GT Mustang. Day 2 will be exactly like yours at around $1900 and in the race prepped Boss. You can sign up as long as your name is on the order and you have a VIN. I signed up as soon as I got my Window sticker even before my car was booked. I might be a little off on the prices. I'm just going off of memory.
Thanks for the info. Too bad - I don't think she will be interested if it's not a GT350. She actually seems to like the car I'm getting, for a change.

Found this: Seems like they say both things...

Driving Guest // FPRS Mustang GT $1,595 (or Boss 302FRS on optional Day 2, $1,895)

Each GT350 owner has the option to bring one driving guest who participates in all the same GT350 Track Attack activities. On select dates an optional Day 2 of performance driving is available. You may bring a Driving Guest to this day as well.

I guess they mean the same "activities" but in a GT.

Yup. But from what I remember while talking to Bill Reinhart on the phone, he said that your guest will be on the track at the same time and basically be following you, just in the GT. I'm going with my dad and we both agreed that it's a little too expensive. It would probably be a different story if the guest was in a Shelby as well. I wonder why they decided to do it that way...

I wondered the same thing. I guessed that each day would be booked with 350 owners and they only had so many cars available.

It's pretty expensive for the extra person...and a second day. We could each do at least 2 HPDEs at Sebring, including lodging and wear parts for the price of the school alone. That's probably what we will do. She will tag along for the dinner and ride along and I'll just do the single day.

I'm bringing my wife. The only way she can tag along to both the dinner and activities is if she is registered as either a driving or non driving guest. She will do all the activities that you do but not drive (unless she is a driving guest). She will get to be in the passenger seat for a hot lap and participate in classroom acivities as well as the dinner if a non driving guest..

If you bring a guest, I was told they couldn't participate without registration as either a driving or non driving guest

I did the Boss302 Track Attack back in 2012 and took my wife as a non driving guest. We had a great time and it was first class all the way. With me already experiencing the Track Attack I thought it would be special to go with my sons, ages 37 and 35. One of my sons will go as a driver in my place and I will pay for the other as a driving guest. It would be cool to do it again myself but I thought it would be better experiencing it with them. I'm paying for myself to go as a non driving guest. We're going next weekend, I hope the weather forecast changes between now and then.

I also purchased the 150$ insurance. I plan to fly to Vegas (150$ flight) from Houston and take a scenic route to Utah.
My wife and I did the class last week.
My wife was a non-driver that just did a hot lap with an instructor.
We also flew into Vegas and drove to Tooele UT.

After a 4.5 hour flight it was a long 6.5 hour drive.
If I had it to do over again I would of flown into Salt Lake City.

Just saying...

Here are some pictures of the after market camber plates used in the track attack GT350s.

No idea why I didn't snap any under hood shots of them.

Oddly enough of the three cars I looked at, none of them had catch cans installed.

I should have gotten some tire wear pics too. The fronts seem to be wearing a bit oddly but not sure why.

Using the drive from Vegas to Toole as an opportunity to stay at Zion National Park with the wife for a day. It's on the way up and helps break up the drive. Beautiful park to say the least.

I have not been able to see anything here about 2017 deliveries and the program except that Ford is looking for alternatives. Anyone heard anything else?
Thanks

Not sure what you're talking about alternatives. Ford Racing School has secured a multi-year deal to continue running at UMC as of earlier this year. The deal carries over regardless of who ends up owning the track after that brouhaha is settled. They'll be there until at least 2020.

Regarding the GT350 TA program itself, there's really no reason why it wouldn't run for 2017. The capital outlay is done. The Boss program ran for both years it was made. Attendance and feedback seems very good. FRS will be running a Focus RS program next year that replaces the STOA program. So.. yeah, it's a sure thing.

I spoke with them some weeks ago. Yes it is, enrollment is open.
See other posts for links.
