And Clink there is still hope for you, remember Order numbers increase with any order made through Levi...not just R wheels.
Call me crazy but carbon fiber is the last thing I would ever want on any potential grip portion of my steering wheel.

In that wheel design it doesn't look to be intended to grip the wheel in any area besides 3 + 9 o'clock positions.
You cannot dye leather from black to red, but you can certainly change the color with leather paint. ;)

I was just going to have my regular 350 wheel re-stitched red and the strip up top changed to red by an upholstery shop. But since the R wheels are coming I'm just getting rid of it.
I would imagine it would hold up pretty well as long as you do not drive with your hand on the mark and maybe use a sunshade to keep it from fading ;)
Probably a good move, since the cost of getting all that done would probably exceed the cost of owning the real thing
