what's the typical install time on this?
About an hour or less. It's not bad, only pain in the ass is getting the hex bolt to release the airbag.

I've been looking at this wheel for months now but it always seems like it's either out of stock, has indefinite waiting times, or some obscure obscure is selling it. Do y'all have a solid name to buy from that can guarantee they will have the wheel withing a reasonable amount of time?
Benny from Levittown Ford...he is the man.

9. Use 24mm socket (15/16 works as well) to loosen bolt holding wheel on. Remove steering wheel.

10. Install new GT350 wheel, and tighten bolt to 35 ft-lbs

11. Install the rest of the pieces in reverse order. All the Torx screws are self-tapping. The silver Torx are easy to strip out, so just snug those. The black Torx should be tightened until they won’t turn anymore.

Sure hope they got that airbag thing fixed...

Did everyone use a torque wrench for this? Is it okay to tighten as much as possible if you don't have the torque wrench?

I only had a torque wrench that was 50 to 250 ft lbf. I took a picture of the wheel and noted the bolt head position. Once it got tight I went to the same position as when I uninstalled, then went an eighth to a quarter turn past but it didn't get to 50 ft lbf. I also added blue locktite.

I used a torque wrench but 35 ft/lbs isn't really that much. Making it snug with a decent size wrench should do the trick.

CJ's is selling the GT350R steering wheel, but have not restored their install video. A few customers were asking for it in the "Product Questions" section of the item, and CJ's claimed that the instructions were the same as the non-R wheel, which they said were already posted on their site.

Someone asked them for a link to those instructions and that question got deleted. Then CJ's answer to the original question for install instructions started getting voted down. So, they just deleted everything under the Product Questions for the item.

I have the GT350 wheel on a UPS truck somewhere between Mesquite, TX and Portland, Or (from DuSold) and have been searching for a video of the install. This one from LMR is somewhat helpful starting at around the 1:00 mark. Mainly to give a better idea of the airbag removal. However, all indications from this thread is that the swap is pretty straightforward. I just wish I had the new wheel, already!

Mine just came in as well. Unfortunately we just got the first snow of the year, so no driving till April. The wheel looks and feels great. Can't wait to install it.

I saw the video right when it came out, bookmarked it and when I came back to it a couple of weeks later, it was gone. I should have saved it.

When it came back, first thing I did was save it. So here it is, I hope it helps at least one of you install their new steering wheel, while I patiently wait for the R version ;)
