Sorry about the typo in the title. Feel free to flame on. If you can get past this, read on..... 
Kind of against better judgment as a 'form-follows-function' guy, I thought I would buy the GT350 Start/Stop button ($27.50) for fun. I wanted to share my experience, just for others. No responses required, but I thought by sharing, you might have a different perspective to consider. I watched and studied the video on the "30 second procedure" and I'm telling you that on 2016's (or on new buttons) it is nothing like this video [ame] You can not just lightly pry with a skinny/weak pick and rotate the button up and out. I have no idea how they did that in the video other than a different/older style button or if that button was removed 10 times.
My experience. After setting out 5 different tape-wrapped picks I gently pryed up on the button as specified, rotating between pick shapes, probably for at least 10 minutes (and rewatching the video countless times -- unfortunately the key prying step is partially hidden by Bill's hands) my 5th pick's tip bent leading to the tip of the pick putting a tiny scratch and pry mark near the 2 o'clock position of the button on the chrome/silver bezel on the dash. Now this is something only I would see, but I see it. And I just thought what the hell.....so I decided f-it....let's do the full procedure. It looks long and slow but maybe less of a pain in the ass, but if I can prevent from breaking something I'd prefer that.
And the long procedure that Ford recommends goes well (and is interesting -- magnets to hold panels on...hmm, interesting Ford) until I remove the shifter bezel and break a clip. OMG. Now that is only 1 of 5 clips, but I think...I am going to spend another hour doing this long procedure, will I lose a tiny screw, or break something else. So, I decided after some on-line reading that maybe I'm not prying hard enough. So I use a small flat-head screw-driver and pry the sh*t out of the button until it comes free. This prying is nothing like the dainty prying in the video. I am bending the hell out of the button.
And then I install the new button and push it into place. I sit back and look. I see a nice shiny new button. And one tiny scratch near the button and one slightly upset bulge of plastic where I was prying. Would a buyer in 5 years notice this? Probably not, but I do. 5 days later, I don't notice the minor cosmetic blemishes. Almost unnoticeable. And definitely unnoticeable to your passenger or significant other.
But my advice is this. Stay true to your heart....if you know this modification is gimmicky but have to have it....go for it. Otherwise, I'd pass. I knew that from the start but didn't listen because as a new owner (just 3 weeks) I was still in that I-can't-think-of-anything-else but my next modification.
Besides a clear hood wrap for the leading 10" of the hood, I'm going to be done for awhile. But at least I get to change my signature to add the P.I.T.A. GT350 Start Button update. At least in my case. Maybe not yours. Hope this helps someone consider the potential way this may end.
