Looking at a GT350 (stock style) shift knob for my GT.

I see American Muscle has one as well as CJPony.

The AM one required a locknut, but it also somewhat cheaper.

Who has which one? Are you happy?

I bought the one from CJPP because it was already threaded to fit a gt shifter as the gt350 and gt shifters are not the same thread pattern. I liked it. It felt good and looked great. I actually took it apart and painted the red parts black so it wouldn’t stand out so much as I like a subtle look. I only switched it out when I went for a weighted knob

i had the CJPP version on my GT and fit was spot on for my GT. i also tried the AM version; however, it rattled when installed. it appeared to me (purely based on my observation) that the CJPP knob was a real GT350 OEM version and the AM knob was not OEM.

Correct. But that doesn’t mean that the threads on the shifter have to be different too. A lot of people don’t know that they are in fact different until someone tells them or their shift knob doesn’t fit

I ordered this shift knob from LMR and it's a smaller thread. I have the MGW short throw so MGW told me I needed to purchase a double threaded handle for a MT82. Would the CJPP one just fit onto that existing thread of the MGW? Should I just return what I have from LMR and reorder from CJ? Thanks guys

I had custom knobs made for my MGW flat stick. I wanted to be sure they'd fit, so I contacted MGW and they provided the size and pitch for the threads on their flat stick. If you do that, you should confirm with whoever you get a new knob from that it will fit.
