With the shifter now sitting so much higher with the gap I would think that the throw is quite a bit longer. Did you notice a big difference?
It didn't really make a big difference for me. I only had two days of driving the car with the new knob on. I never really got WOT with quick shifts due to the weather, so in a normal driving situation I didn't really notice a difference. After I get the car back from the shop this weekend I will be able to give you a good comparison between the two. I didn't notice a longer of a throw after the knob was put on, but like you said with it higher it is probably a little longer, but I feel like the distance is minimal.

I think it's funny how people are asking for more pics.

Look up the GT350 lol
Guess they just want to know exactly how it would look in their car. I don't mind helping them out as much as I Can!

I know this sounds stupid, but could you just cut the rod down a tad?

I have thought about that as well. I would just kind of be nervous to do that. If there's an adapter I would rather just use it if I want to switch knobs further down the road I'd be able to with no trouble.

Where do I purchase this? Dealer?
I ordered mine from someone on the forum that worked at Ford and picked some up. If you would like the part number I can get you it!

I bet the gap will be gone and flush when you use the MGW shifter with the MGW OEM knob adapter and GT350 shift knob. The benefit of them using a push down reverse is a gap is not needed for a pull up collar resulting in a shorter shifter. The MGW adapter is threaded so you can tighten the knob down like a jam nut then secured with a set screw
