It didn't really make a big difference for me. I only had two days of driving the car with the new knob on. I never really got WOT with quick shifts due to the weather, so in a normal driving situation I didn't really notice a difference. After I get the car back from the shop this weekend I will be able to give you a good comparison between the two. I didn't notice a longer of a throw after the knob was put on, but like you said with it higher it is probably a little longer, but I feel like the distance is minimal.With the shifter now sitting so much higher with the gap I would think that the throw is quite a bit longer. Did you notice a big difference?
