Sorry if this has been asked many times in the past, by when I searched I only found 1 post and didn't see the answer I was looking for. I am wondering if you buy gt350 recaro are they plug and play like the ones you can get from ford performance?

If they are, then does it matter the year? I have a 2019 GT, so would I need an 18 up gt350 seat, or would any year work (modern version of course)?

The GT350 Recaro seats are narrow and tight. Are you sure? The Bullitt/GT/EB Recaros are more forgiving. The seats are manual adjust and the mounting holes are the same. The airbag cables should be compat but I wouldn't put it past Ford to still be using 15-17 parts in 18+ GT350.

I have a set of GT350 Recaros I put in my 2016 Mustang, no issues and no airbag lights.

That is great news, thanks very much for the reply. I don't know if anything changed (seat wise) between the 15-17 and 18 up, but I'll do some research on that, if not, seems they should be plug and play.

I read alot of people posting about airbag lights coming on and having to use a resistor to fix the issue, but my experience was not the same, I had no issue.

That's with aftermarket seats without a airbag. All S550 seats will interchange no problem.

I have done this swap into my 2018 PP2. The cloth GT350 recaros I bought fit perfectly but did cause an airbag light. I was told by the seller that the seats were from a 2017. The fix was easy but at the same inconvenient. I had to remove the driver seat and trade the sensor/bladder from my original seat and install it into the recaro. After that, problem solved and I love the seats. I'm 6' tall and 225lbs and they are a bit tight but that's why I bought them.

nameuser, looks fantastic thanks for the pics.

You mentioned the fix was easy, easy as in simple fix or something that's easy for a person who know how to disable a seat?

Are you sure of that ?
I believe that save for the fabric/leather cover, all Recaro are exactly the same

nope, they aren't at all the same. Go sit in a Bullitt and a GT350.

I did watch youtube videos about it. Once you take a close look you'll see it's just a matter of unclipping the fabric then working the bladder out. The most intimidating part is the fact that if you mess up and pop the bladder then you're really screwed,t hey're like $700 for a new one; or so I read. Now that I think about it, I broke a piece off the clip that connects the sensor to the car. Some epoxy fixed it.
