I've seen on occasion on here and on various facebook groups the mention of the GT350 owners supplement kit and wanted to add some additional information that some people may not know about. I know this information to be 100% true as confirmed by a representative at Ford HQ. If any GT350/GT350R was purchased new through Ford's fleet purchase program, the car did not qualify for the supplement kit. Not that someone bought a fleet of 350s, but if someone had a business (i.e., cleaning business, trucking company, auto parts chain, etc.) and wanted to buy a new 350 under the business's name (Ford fleet program), Ford did not include the supplement kit. If anyone else has any additional info about this, I would love to hear about it. I am constantly learning new things about these cars. I am the second owner of my car and the supplement kit was not offered. If anyone else wants to find out if their car went through Ford's fleet purchase program, i will provide the Ford representative's email.

The Fleet vehicle GT350s & GT350Rs were the cars that Ford kept for various reasons. Media, evaluation, promotions, executive loaners, etc.

And you are correct. They didn't come with the owner's kit. The owner's kit being the box with the flat plane crank dispay model, posters, welcome letter, etc. Also the early cars came with the oil filter wrench kit. The Fleet vehicle wouldn't have that either.

After Ford was done with them, they were auctioned to the public.

Here is a copy of my window sticker. It was an evaluation car. You'll see "Fleet" in the Ship to box. Also, these Fleet vehicles, had a Tag # on the options list which designated exactly what the purpose, and maybe even the person who was issued the car. I've attached a couple of those.

Thank you for the additional info. I was always curious what the TAG # represented on my window sticker. As a side note, my marti report shows "special purpose vehicle" and the dealer was Ford Motor Credit Company

@PP0001 might be able to interpret your Tag #. If there is a name next to your tag #, you might be able to find out who at Ford was issued the car and for what reason. My car was issued to the GT350 implementation launch engineer. It was with Ford the entire GT350 production run.

If you look on your Carfax, it should show how long Ford held on to the car.

Another thing... these cars with the Tag #s were often ordered in the more unique colors configurations on purpose. They wanted to have fun with the cars so they spec'd them as oddities. Hence your green, my black w blue stripes, there's a yellow with black stripes, etc. I was told that directly from one of the program engineers.

Without having key information for your 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350R such as the VIN series, chassis number, window sticker, Tag #, Oasis Report, door jamb decal, etc. it is difficult to determine exactly what your vehicle entails?

Helped a great friend of mine purchase a 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350R which was the first Pilot Production R model example that was built back in early August 2019 therefore suggest that your vehicle might be in that same category?

With respect to Tag #'s and based on my research there are 7 different classifications such as "Y" which relates to an "Evaluation Vehicle".

If you are not comfortable providing much of the above information required then send me a PM after which time we can then go from there?

BTW, not only did the GT350/R Owners Kits not come with any of these early vehicles but in most cases neither did items such as floor mats, car covers, window stickers, owner's manuals, etc. as they typically also never came with these vehicles.

That's an interesting one. Motor City Solutions and Ford Credit. MCS is a Hot Rod and Restoration business. Pretty successful one as per the web and Google maps. Maybe they bought the car but why Ford Credit. Gotta see that Carfax for dates and such. Does the WS options section show a Tag #?

Yeah, I looked up their website. They also do promotional cars and media pieces. I wonder if someone else bought the car and had it shipped to them? its a 20 minute drive from the Flat Rock plant to Motor City Solutions. The carfax shows the car being in their possession from 10/28/2019 all the way to 04/21/2021 and accruing 2307 miles during that time.

If you're committed to documenting the car for historical purposes, maybe give them a call to see what the story was. It sounds like some unique provenance. If you don't document it now, no one may ever get the chance to. Staff, owners, and crew change hands at those businesses.

Hopefully you can interpret that TAG #. That will tell you a lot. Either way, you have a special car. 👍🐍

2020 Shelby GT350R. Grabber lime. Chassis # LR127. Tag #042D114 Dealer # 89205N DSO Item # 2114 VIN# 1FA6P8JZ2L5550475. Sorry, I do not have the Oasis # and I can upload the window sticker when i get home from work this evening. Thank you for all your help!!
Based on the VIN and chassis number LR127 was certainly not a pre-production vehicle but based on the tag# I suggest that this vehicle was sent to Motor City Solutions in Taylor, Michigan on bailment with the intent of being in their possession as a "Marketing" vehicle which is confirmed by the "D" in the tag#.

With respect to the window sticker indicating that LR127 was sold to the Ford Motor Credit Company, that is typical for pre-production, evaluation, test, prototype and marketing vehicles therefore I suggest that the FMC was the owner of this vehicle from the time that it was born until such time that it probably was sent to Manheim Auto Auctions for sale once the bailment agreement between the FMC and Motor City Solutions expired.

Back in 2012 I came across and purchased 3 Pilot Production Boss 302/LS models with all of them being on bailment to DST (Diversified Service Technologies) in Romulus, Michigan.

Had numerous conversations with various individuals at DST and built up a good relationship with them after which time they confirmed what duties entailed for PP0001, PP0002 and PP0004 during their bailment.

Starting in January 2011 PP0001 was sent to all of the major auto shows in the U.S. with PP0002 going on the NASCAR Xperience Tour which including attending ~16 NASCAR in 2011 and with PP0004 being a static display vehicle at the 2012 Daytona 500 race amongst numerous other auto shows.

Suggest that you reach out to Motor City Solutions and try to build up a relationship with them after which time hopefully they can provide you with many details of when LR127 was under their bailment?

With respect to all prior ownership for LR127, suggest that you reach out to the Secretary of State for Michigan after which time they should be able to provide you with all prior titled ownership for your vehicle as they were very helpful with respect to my vehicles noted above.

Good luck with your journey and have some fun with the process!

Thank you sir! I greatly appreciate all the information you provided! I sent an email to Motor City Solution inquiring about the history of the car. Hopefully I can establish a good enough relationship with them that they could possibly share some info, pictures and any other fun and interesting tidbits about the car. Thank you again for all your help!

You're quite welcome and enjoy your beautiful and very rare 2020 Grabber Lime R model!

BTW, of the 3,651 GT350R (regular production and pre-production) models built over the 6-year production run, Grabber Lime was the 4th rarest color of the 20 colors offered by the Ford Motor Company with only 31 examples ordered in Grabber Lime for the final GT350/R model year.

Only Rapid Red (15), Grabber Blue (27) and Twister Orange (29) had less cars built than the Grabber Lime examples.
