I have watched a lot of the videos and seen the clips on install, but is there any hardware needed for the swap? Such as gaskets or bolts or sealant? Or do I simply bolt it down to the heads with all existing hardware?

Installing a GT350 Manifold and Throttle body, GT350 intake/snorkel/GT500 filter. Just want to have everything I need before the install.

Thanks,

J

The thread I have read just talk about modifying the rear wiring harness and the vacuum caps.

Easiest thing is to buy the installation kit from JDM it has everything you need including instructions, yeah it's $80 but makes life easy. If you are using the GT350 cold air intake, they also sell a hose that you need to make it work.

It really is an easy installation. Don't need any sealants or gaskets.

What is the install time for this one?
About an hour for the swap. Longest part would be unwrapping of the engine harness tape for the IMRC connectors to reach the new manifold.

Phil, is this an easy install for a novice? If I can install a CAI- should I be able do this manifold installation by myself?

Btw- props to JDM for offering this kit. The only place I've seen that offers detailed instructions.

I bit the bullet and grabbed the JDM kit, thanks guys for recommendation on that.

The biggest pain in the ass seems to be removing the two connectors for IMRC at the rear of the manifold, they're too difficult to reach with the manifold in place and need to be popped off while holding the manifold in midair. At least in all the videos I have watched seem to deal with.

For the most part, you are unplugging the IMRC connectors by "feel" as you can't really see them. But luckily they are the same design as the connectors for your coil packs...so practice on those 1st.
