With all the sales going on right now I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of the mods. I did some forum and google searching and haven't found any results as to which is the better "bang for the buck". The stang is my daily so im not terribly concerned with trap speeds and 1/4 times, but more "butt dyno" gains.

Depends if you are willing to rev it above 7500 or not.

The 350 IM performance is essentially the same as stock until you rev above 6000 where it begins to out perform stock and continues to build upon that to ~ 7500 depending on your set up.

The best overall performance will be the 350 IM with Long tubes, CAI and a performance tune.

I would suggest to start with LT, CAI and a tune to match. This is where I am now, added ~ 60 HP over stock and shown on the Dyno what I experienced via my Butt Dyno.

I do intend to add the 350 IM & TB along with the strongly recommended billet gerotor oil pump and performance damper/balancer.

Should have mentioned I have a PMAS and Lund ff tune already on the car. Eventually I plan to have both the mani and headers put on the car, but I can't justify spending 2500 on both right now lol as far as headers go where do you feel those gains?

I chose the Stainless Works complete exhaust system with the X-pipe. The gains are noticeable starting at ~ 3000 and very noticeable above 4500 RPM.

Its important to send the stock resonator box to the recycle bin and go 3" all the way to the exhaust tips. This path will keep your options open to fully utilize future power adder mods like the 350 IM & TB.

]I have a gt350 manifold with out headers, still running stock intake. It runs great... That being said you won't notice anything below 6k, but you will love the extra 1k in powerband you gain with your 3.73s. My bud has the Gt350 manifold, t/b and headers he is trapping .5mph faster then me with his 3.73s... I have 3.31s

I did both the headers and 350IM at the same time. I'd say go with the headers, first. You're getting performance AND that awesome sound. Then sometime down the road, do the 350IM when you can, one compliments the other. And like what Wally-Bob said, I went 3" all the way to the tips.

Between the two, I would go with the IM first. It is much easier to install...and remove later if you want to trade in the car or go with a PD blower or take it in for service or something. You WILL be revving it to 7500 RPMs every chance you get. I DD mine and I find myself revving it way up there all the time. And even with the stock manifolds on it will pull like a rocket from 3000 RPMs all the way up.

Long-tubes, go GT350 IM later. A full exhaust would be good but I run the stock axle back, it's not road block to power. Better quality and sound for sure but free up power with the long-tubes, you won't be disappointed.

I would figure hp gain for the buck of the 350/tune vs header/tune to favor the 350/tune?

Actually usually headers gain a bit more overall under the curve thoughout the curve from what I've seen. GT350 will mostly shine from 6000-7500. Cost is similar assuming self install of the headers.

My personal plan is to go LTs first and then 350 IM later, if I can't do it all at once. The extra revs would be cool but I feel the headers would be more beneficial overall.
