What's up everyone. I have had my GT350 for over 2 years and have not done anything with it. I love the stock exhaust, but want to find something even deeper. All videos I have watched, I understand videos never do exhaust justice, sound good at some points, but other times are very raspy. I am not a fan of raspy. I like a deep rumble. The Corsa double helix x pipe is close, but even that sounds raspy to me in videos. Can anyone suggest a setup? I appreciate it.

I don’t know if you’ll ever completely get away from raspy with this engine. Complicated by the fact that no matter which system you go with, that’s valve is gonna open under full throttle.

Just an FYI, the ARH mufflers don't have the valve like the stockers do. Full volume all the time. It's a love it or hate it scenario.

And I believe resonators as well. That will knock down on the raspiness.

I agree with galaxy , tough to get the raspy out of this thing. I think the closest to removing it, which might be too quiet for my taste, is the kooks mufflers onto whatever system you have.

I just did a custom double helix x pipe. Similar to corsa’s, but my shop only charged $140 including install. It does sound great, but it is very raspy from 3500-4000rpm. Outside of that, it sounds similar to stock, just a bit louder, and a bit deeper. I do get a lot of cracks and pops on downshifting, which does sound SWEET. I might do the ARH in the near future.

Everything I read about the double helix pipe makes me want one. I actually like the popping and raspyness. I've been going back and forth between Borla atak catback, Corsa catback, and Corsa double X for about a month.

You may want to check out the Magnaflow system, I believe its a lot less raspy than other systems out there (someone correct me if Im wrong here).

I have the ATAK on my car and love the tone, but its damn raspy up in the higher RPMs. Im considering adding in a pair of resonators to see if I can tame it down a bit.

I went with Kooks LT's and the Mid O/R cpipe. Kept the stock mufflers and it sounds great. Not raspy in the car at all, but def louder. I still have the quiet button though when needed.

I really want to do a full Kooks green catted system, but I'm afraid of the warranty implications if something goes wrong with the Voodoo.

Exhaust won't void warranty! :D

Exhaust time!!

I've heard headers back would. I know cat back would be fine, which I'm not totally opposed to, but if I do it, it would be nice to do the whole thing at once.

Magnaflow catback is the only solution I can think of and I'm guessing that's gonna be drone city knowing Magnaflow. Adding headers makes rasp even worse all the time every time regardless of muffler too. Changing the length of the primary exhaust tubing will move the pitch up higher. Think of it like a wind instrument, the shorter the pipe, the higher pitch things will go. Do note too that Magnaflow systems tend to sound blatty and farty at higher RPM ranges.

Leave it stock. Stock mufflers, stock resonators, stock headers, stock cats.

Out of curiosity why do you say this? Would you not even go FP by Borla or the Borla ATAK for some modest gains in HP/TQ and still keep your warranty?

I agree about Magnaflow. I like them enough as a company, but I've heard over a couple of different platforms that they tend to drone a decent amount. They are cheaper for a reason, maybe this is unfair as I've never had one to get a real life view of their products.
