I'm trying to close a deal on a 19 350 and I have choices between 2 non-R's for either 5.1-5.2k off sticker price. I also found a deal for an R that looks pretty sexy for 5k under sticker. The only thing that made me reconsider the R was the Recaros.. They aren't going to work for me and I would have to swap to the Ford Performance Recaros that are sold in the catalog..

Should I be happy and stick with leather seats in a non-R or go yolo and get the R and swap seats? The R at 5k off sticker is pretty dang rare, and I might be kicking myself if I pass it up.

You posted wanting urgent time sensitive advice for a car purchase, which you got. Then you figured you’d decide based on how much forum members would pay you for the seats in the R? Just get the standard GT350 then and leave the R for someone who truly wants it.

Get the R, pull the seats, bag 'em up nice and tight, and store them. Put in whatever seats you want. When you go to sell the car, you'll have perfect, factory seats. The couple grand you'd get for them 2nd-hand aren't really worth it, IMO, unless you have no storage space at all.
