It is. I saw the car while at Laguna. The color works really well with the black R stripes. If I could get my hands on a R order it would be between this combo and Magnetic.

My thoughts as well. I'm curious if you could just rip off the accent striping.

The accent stripe is part of the wider stripe, they are not separate. I suppose you could try with a blade but that's definitely not something I would do.

Yup agree. I have a non-R 2015 with the Black/white stripes and I am thinking of adding a thin red pintripe just laterally aft of the L & R white thin pinstripes. We'll see when my car arrives hopefully in early Sept...

Really liking the black with black and red stripes. Did anyone notice that when you add the black roof option with oxford black on the GT350 configure page it changes the spoiler if you have the track pack option? So there are actually 3 spoilers available for the car? I like the spoiler when you add the black roof option more than the R version.

Looks like they are slowly fixing the website, the one you see when you click the black roof, is the correct track package one (at least in the rear 3/4 view) it changes style as you rotate the view, or some pictures are cached. The previous one shown is some sort of GT one that is not correct. The base car has a smaller spoiler.

Ted, as discussed earlier this week the 2016 Shelby GT350R order form shows both the Painted Black Roof and the "OTR" Racing Stripe as being "Free Standing Options" where you can select any option or leave blank which also includes the car cover as another option?

Having said that I suggest that this is not a Canadian production option issue but more of an internal problem within Ford?

I personally do not know how Ford can offer a Painted Black Roof along with Black OTT Racing Stripes as individual options but that is just my opinion?

I cannot see the colors of the painted roof and the stripes being exactly the same and/or matching but maybe they should not be?

Personally I would go with one or the other option or just no stripes at all which is the way I ordered my 2016 R model?

Feels great to have this dilemma, lol. I am not overly concerned about the black roof and stripes matching. The only way I will get AG is if I can get the black stripe and the black roof...just feel it looks kick ass and way cooler due to the contrast. I don't think I will alter anything stock on an R (adding stripes after etc) and want to keep it original so if this fails I will proceed with DIB and black roof. On the configurator that AG combo looks great...with the black roof..

Look back on page 74-76... this config exists...at least in pre-production. It does look good.

For me, it's black stripes OR black roof. I'm not fond of the way they interact. One thing a couple of the Ford guys said about the AG is that it definitely benefits from some contrasting elements ala a black roof or black stripes.
There were also a few comments about how polarizing the color is, even within the ranks at Ford.
